After announcing 300 smartwatches (for the whole Fossil Group) earlier this year, Fossil announced a new wearable which runs Android Wear 2.0 and has a full touchscreen.

The Fossil Q Control is the company’s first sporty smartwatch, yet it has a minimalist design. Since it runs Android Wear 2.0, it fully supports iPhones and Android handsets with ease. Being a sporty wearable, it has connected GPS compatibility with Strava and Google Fit. It also packs in a heart rate sensor for continuous monitoring.

The new wearable has a 45mm circular case design and measures 14mm thick. It has an interchangeable 20mm silicone sport strap, making it fashionable in the gym or office. What powers the watch is a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor with 4GB of internal storage, and its battery is rated to last a whole day of regular usage.

It’s priced at US$ 275 and is up for purchase online and at retail stores where available starting this week.
