Chinese brand Gionee makes some crazy phones, but the company also makes practical offerings such as the S10, which comes with two dual-camera setups and well-balanced specifications.
Yup, there are two cameras on the back (16 and 8 megapixels) and two in front for selfies (20 and 8 megapixels). What are the benefits? Better background blur for portraits and wider-angled pictures for large groups.
Nothing we haven’t seen before; then again, it’s more than the usual set of three cameras on most new-age smartphones. From here, the next interesting number is the amount of memory: a total of 6GB. That’s equal to multitasking machines like the OnePlus 3T and Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro.
But that’s sort of where the excitement ends. The 5.5-inch display has a 1080p resolution; the battery capacity is 3450mAh; internal storage reaches 64GB; and a MediaTek Helio P25 powers the whole thing.
Like all other Chinese Android handsets, Gionee’s signature user interface covers the Nougat 7.0 operating system. And as usual, it’ll be tough to find outside of China. The S10 retails for CNY 2,599, which equates to $380.
