LG’s portable Gram laptops to get a refresh at CES 2018
CES 2018 (Consumer Electronics Show) is fast approaching, and tech brands are announcing their presence at the convention as early as now. LG is the latest entry with their enduring Gram series of laptops.
LG isn’t a household name when it comes to notebooks, but their Gram laptops have been around since 2014 and always prioritized portability and durability for each series refresh.
The updated models we’ll see at CES 2018 are set to update the existing models in numerous aspects, including newer-generation Intel Core processors, faster SSD storage, and improved battery life.
LG hasn’t revealed a lot of specifics yet, but the company did mention a few more features we can look forward to.
The 14-inch model is only as large as a typical 13-inch laptop thanks to impressively thin bezels; there’ll be a second SSD drive slot for additional storage; the full-metal alloy body is certified with MIL-STD-810G durability; and both touchscreen and fingerprint scanner options will be available.
The new LG Gram laptops will be showcased from January 9 to 12 at CES 2018 in Las Vegas. The US will be the first market to offer the fresh series beginning January.
