Mystery Unboxing: #TranslateInABox
This is probably the most exciting mystery unboxing we’ve done! Can you guess what’s inside?
We haven’t had a mystery unboxing in a while. Let’s change that!
This package was sent by our friends at Google. And when it’s from a company this big, we’re bound to have a good time.
Simply titled #TranslateInABox, we don’t want to give away any hints of what could be inside, but we can guarantee that the box inside the box took some effort to unlock.
Excited? You better be! This is possibly the most fun we’ve ever had during any unboxing.

Special Editions smartphones are almost always nice to look at. But usually, they’re also nothing more than aesthetic overhauls. That’s not exactly the case with the incredibly sexy and unbelievably tough HONOR Magic V2 RSR. It’s HONOR’s first foldable collaboration with Porsche Design.
We’ve already talked extensively about the Magic V2. If you want that more in-depth look, you can check out our review. In a separate tab, of course.
REVIEW: HONOR Magic V2: My rebound foldable
Some of the new things you get with the Magic V2 RSR package are two power bricks and a stylus. Watch the unboxing below and bask in its beauty.

The Magic Pen
The included stylus called the Magic Pen also looks just as sexy. It comes with an elegant case and can be charged separately via USB-C. Just flip out the back end of the pen to reveal the port. It’s a fine addition if you tend to sign many documents on your device or if you’re an artist. If not, it’s still a nice-to-have accessory.
More importantly, the inclusion of the stylus reinforces HONOR’s belief in how tough the screens are on this luxury foldable.
NanoCrystal Shield
The HONOR Magic V2 RSR is more than meets the eye. Reinforcing the screens, HONOR used Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield on the foldable’s displays. In keeping with the theme of the phone, the whole process in leveling up the display’s defenses is akin to a process also applied with cars.
All told, what you need to know is that HONOR was confident enough to suggest that we try to scratch the display with a sandpaper sheet and or marble or asphalt surface. Here in GadgetMatch, we care too much about the device to do that… Although, the Magic V2 RSR did survive a couple of accidental drops with the display hitting the ground first. It came out unscathed.
Asphalt 9: Legends on the Magic V2 RSR
Speaking of Asphalt, HONOR also worked with Gameloft for an optimized version of our favorite racing test game – Asphalt 9: Legends.
Not only will the game seamlessly fit the foldable’s aspect ratio, it’ll also take advantage of its computing power and GPU to render the game at 120fps and a higher resolution.
They also reimagined physical textures with GPU-based edge construction technology, before integrating the graphics rendering capabilities of foldable devices with AI.
The same reliable book-style foldable
Do you recall how in the movie Avengers: Infinity War after Peter Parker/Spider-Man wore the Iron Spider Suit he said, “It smells like a new car in here.” That’s what the Magic V2 RSR feels like.
Functionally, it’s the same excellent foldable. It has unlocked mobile worked possibilities for me and has been a consistent companion as sort of a secondary screen when I’m toiling away on my main laptop.
When out and about, I can continue using it like I would a regular slate smartphone and no one would think it was any different. But if I wanted to, I can break the ice and unfold to, well, show-off. Something I like to do when the opportunity arises.
In our earlier review, we already called the Magic V2 as easily one of the best foldables out right now. The Magic V2 RSR comes in with the same functions but with a new coat of paint that’s undeniably sleek.
The HONOR Magic V2 RSR is the same powerful, reliable, and impossibly slim book-style foldable but in a brand new suit. The mere sight of it will make your heart race. But you’ll feel the speed even more once you integrate it into your life.
