The US war against Huawei is still in full swing. Probably the biggest blow in this saga is the possibility of Google cutting ties with the company. The US ban may prevent Huawei from using Android, and other Google mobile services like Gmail and YouTube.

But in case it’s not clear, Huawei is dedicated to giving consumers the best value possible despite the company’s looming problems. In Singapore, retailers are offering 100% full refund if Google services, as well as Facebook’s apps like Instagram and WhatsApp, would stop working within the 2-year warranty period.

Despite the potential ban, several customers in the country have expressed their confidence in buying Huawei devices.

Wilson Ng, a P20 Pro user says he trusts Huawei and their products. “As an international company, they will do what’s best for a consumer. For a brand that has grown so fast, it is a force to be reckoned with.”

A spokesperson from Huawei Singapore says that the backbone of the company’s success has always been the customers who support the brand and believe in the innovations they offer.

See Ying, a first-time Huawei user, feels that there are plenty of opportunities ahead for the brand. “There is a famous quote that goes ‘in the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity’. I have faith that Huawei will always be able to continue making innovative products in any circumstances as it is such a resilient and strong company.”
