Back in March, several days after announcing a $30-per-movie 4K HDR streaming service, Sony unveiled a new generation of expensive TV sets in the Philippines that not only promise ultra-sharp visuals, but HDR or high-dynamic-range lighting as well.
You may recall earlier that images of a slimmer version of the Xbox One were leaked ahead of Microsoft’s E3 briefing. Now, it’s official: Microsoft got its announcement in, and you’re looking at the new Xbox One S, which is indeed smaller — 40 percent smaller, technically — than the current model. The lesser footprint will allow you to safely use the system in an upright position with a stand that’s sold separately.
Microsoft’s E3 2016 press event is almost underway, and we’re expecting to finally see and hear more about the rumored slim version of the Xbox One, or the Xbox One S, as some reports suggest. Obviously, the Redmond team is keeping all details about its new console under wraps, but that hasn’t stopped the internet from lifting the veil itself.
