Samsung is constantly growing its lower midrange J-series smartphones. The company just launched the Galaxy J7 Pro in the Philippines earlier this week, but if that’s too big for you (it has a 5.5-inch display), you might want to look into the Galaxy J5 Pro.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro

The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro just made its debut in Thailand, and it’s a lot like the its bigger cousin. They sport the same design, full-metal build, and even specifications. It comes with the same Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage.

It also comes with 13-megapixel shooters on its front and back. Low-light mobile photography is something Samsung wants its budget phones to be known for.

So, what’s different?

It comes with a smaller 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display and a lower resolution at just HD 720p. This makes the phone easier for one-handed use. This size is already considered small by today’s phone standards.

Also, a smaller body means smaller battery. If the J7 Pro gets a beefy 3600mAh cell, the J5 Pro gets a decent 3000mAh capacity. That’s still enough to last you a whole day, even more!

The phone is priced at THB 9,990 or roughly US$ 294. Expect the phone to be launched in other Southeast Asian countries soon.
