Apple unveiled its first ARM-based chip called M1, accompanying a new lineup of MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini. These new devices will make its way to the Philippines, revealed through Apple’s Philippine website.

13-inch MacBook Air

Apple’s new MacBook Air with the new M1 chip promises to perform up to 3.5 times faster and do graphics up to 5 times faster, with its 5nm processor. It also features Apple’s new image signal processor, improving camera quality while reducing noise. Built with a fanless design, the MacBook Air remains silent. It can also last up to 15 hours of web browsing and up to 18 hours of video playback.

13-inch MacBook Pro

The new MacBook Pro with M1 chip promises up to 2.8 times faster performance than the previous MacBook Pro. It also boasts performing up to 3 times faster than the “best-selling Windows laptop in its class.” More importantly, it can deliver up to 17 hours of web browsing and up to 20 hours of video playback, despite the improvement.

Mac mini

There’s also a new Mac mini with the M1 chip, which performs up to 3 times faster than the previous generation. It can also handle graphics-intensive tasks by up to 6 times faster, and machine learning by up to 15 times faster. The new Mac mini prides itself on up to 5 times faster performance compared to its PC counterparts.
