HONOR unveils the Magic5 Ultimate in China
The more luxurious Magic5 Pro
The HONOR Magic5 and Magic5 Pro were introduced to the global market during MWC 2023 in Barcelona, Spain. Some even speculated that they will also launch an “Ultra” variant.
Unfortunately, we haven’t heard anything about it — until HONOR announced the Magic5 Ultimate at an exclusive event in China.
The same, Magical flagship
If you’re already aware of the latest Magic5 Pro, you’re bound to see the same set of hardware.
It’s got a 6.8-inch OLED curved display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, and a 19.54:9 aspect ratio. It also has 1.07 billion colors, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and up to 10 points multi-touch support.

The latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powers this beast of a phone. Battery charging will be speedy thanks to its 66W wired charging + 50W wireless charging support. There’s even IP68 water and dust resistance for those who love to take it along dusty and splashy surroundings.

Even its cameras offer nothing different (not that it’s a bad thing). It has the same excellent triple set of 50-megapixel cameras: f/1.6 for the main (wide) sensor, f/2.0 for the ultra-wide with a 122-degree FoV (Field of View), and f/3.0 for its periscope zoom lens that optically zooms in to 3.5x and a digital zoom of up to 100x.
The Ultimate Magic5 Pro
The HONOR Magic5 Ultimate offers more than its luxurious leather back and diamond-cut camera glass cover. Unlike its Pro sibling, it’s equipped with a tougher nano-ceramic glass coating for added 10x durability.

Some other improvements include the bigger 5450mAh battery capacity (versus 5100mAh) — that if you’re buying the Magic5 Pro internationally. If you’re in China, you’ll still acquire the same 5450mAh battery either if you pick the Pro or the Ultimate variant.

Being that “Ultimate” flagship, it’s only offered on a sole 16GB + 512GB memory and storage configuration — not that the Magic5 Pro isn’t offered with the same maxed-out configuration. Lastly, the China-exclusive Ultimate version of the Magic5 runs magicOS 7.1 based on Android 13.
Pricing and Availability
The HONOR Magic5 Ultimate is available in two colors: Elegant Black and Burning Orange. As previously said, its sole configuration retails at CNY 6699 (approximately US$ 966 / SG$ 1300 / ₱53,176).

Buying this ultimate flagship phone also presents you a special Montblanc leather case out of the box. And just like any other China-exclusive launch, global rollout may or may not happen anytime soon.

Ayala Group’s ACMobility has launched ChargeFleet, a new B2B digital solution for corporate fleets and transport groups.
The new service introduces a shareable digital wallet that streamlines charging expenses, reduces manual tracking, and improves cost control.
As more organizations explore electrifying their mobility operations, many continue to face operational challenges — including fragmented payment systems, reimbursement delays, and limited visibility over charging usage.
ChargeFleet addresses these gaps by introducing a centralized, shareable digital wallet. Here, fleet managers can allocate and monitor charging credits across multiple drivers across a single platform.
The system is a seamless process designed for long-term usage and easy deployment across any organization.
Once integrated, ACMobility assigns charging credits to the client’s fleet manager. The manager then can distribute these to multiple drivers. Meanwhile, the latter will be able to see and use their assigned credits via the Evro app.
ChargeFleet is available as a prepaid product through the ChargeFleet Store. Users can buy offers via GCash or credit card. No application process is required.
Looking ahead, ACMobility will continue to enhance the ChargeFleet experience with exclusive value-added perks integrated through Evro and Power on Wheels.

By now, you’ve probably heard of Apple’s and Google’s irreverent advertising campaigns. For example, Apple used to claim that the iPhone is much more secure than an Android. Google, on the other hand, made fun of Apple for adopting new features way behind the curve. Now, a new challenger has entered the battlefield. Nothing has officially confirmed the Phone (4a) by essentially jumping on the hype for the next Apple event.
Recently, Apple released a very interesting invite for an unexpected event on March 4. It was interesting because of its unconventional timing and the recent rumor of a new entry-level MacBook. Naturally, there’s a lot of hype heading into March.
Apropos the brand’s usual marketing strategies, Nothing has released an invite of its own, confirming the launch of the launch of the Phone (4a) on March 5, a day after Apple’s event.
Of course, we’ve known about the Phone (4a) for a while now, thanks to Carl Pei’s own words last month. The more interesting bit is the invite itself.
Rather than bringing out its usual fashion-oriented aesthetics, Nothing just used Apple’s invite and literally spray-painted “Nothing” and “5 March” in neon pink letters.
It’s definitely an unconventional way to hype an event. Then again, everyone’s already excited for Apple, anyway. So it’s a case of “work smarter, not harder,” albeit straddling the fine line of ethical considerations.
This week, Apple announced a major event to start March off on the right foot. Because of the odd timing, there’s a lot riding on the upcoming event. However, Google wants to a share in the spotlight. Not to be outdone, the company has just announced when the next Google I/O is happening.
As is tradition, Google has released puzzles to tease the date of the annual conference. This time, the company teased the conference with a series of Gemini-powered minigames. They had a golf minigame and a nonogram puzzle, among others. Once you’ve solved the puzzle, you would have known the date of Google I/O ahead of the official announcement.
Well, now that a lot of people got the chance to try the games for themselves, Google officially let the cat out of the bag. The official invite is out, and you don’t need to solve a puzzle to see it. Sundar Pichai has confirmed that this year’s Google I/O is happening from May 19 to 20.
Most announcements, especially the most major keynote one, will be available to watch online for free. The company will likely share what’s coming to Android. Also, because the gamified announcements were heavily based on Gemini, we’ll likely get a healthy dose of Gemini announcements, too.
