Pokémon releases ASMR videos with Pikachu

With Charmander and Squirtle

Published

on

For a Pokémon fan, a completely impossible but totally adorable dream is to hang out with their favorite Pokémon for an afternoon. As of late, however, The Pokémon Company has amped up their lifestyle-oriented products, connecting our favorite creatures with our daily lives. Now, there’s another way to introduce more Pokémon into our lives. The Pokémon Company released official Pikachu-themed ASMR videos.

On the company’s official YouTube channel, a new ASMR video has the beloved Electric-type Pokémon playing around in a patio for 15 minutes. In the video, Pikachu plays catch with the viewer and says “pika” or “Pikachu.” As expected, the video was recorded with ASMR mics.

However, if a high-pitched cry doesn’t rock your giblets, The Pokémon Company also has other, quieter ASMR alternatives. The most relaxed one has a tiny Charmander sleeping in front of a crackling, ASMR-friendly campfire. Sometimes, the campfire goes out and the Fire-type Pokémon relights the fire with its fiery tale.

A third one has Squirtle running around on the beach with others. Naturally, the video’s ASMR comes from the splashing of the waves.

Right now, there are only three available videos. Still, it’s a pretty cute background for when you’re doing something.

Potential PlayStation 5 Pro pops up in new patent

Only a month after the original PS5 launch

Published

on

So, does anyone have a PlayStation 5 yet? If not, you’re one of the millions of gamers who lost to dozens of bots. However, despite the global shortage, Sony seemingly already has its sights set on the next, next generation. A leaked patent reportedly reveals the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Spotted by GSMArena, the patent, filed by Sony back in January, previews a console with two GPUs simultaneously to deliver smoother graphics. Though today’s PCs can already wield two GPUs, the patented device purportedly does so at a much more efficient clip than current PC technology. If done properly, the console can play games at 4K resolution and at 120 frames per second. The patent also mentioned a console with larger and faster storage options.

Given the console’s clearly superior hardware, the patent most likely pertains to the PlayStation 5 Pro, a higher-tier variant of the current generation.

However, since the device is still just a patent, no one knows when a new PlayStation 5 variant will come out. For now, everyone is still trying to get their hands on the new PlayStation 5 devices. Based on the previous generation’s life cycle, the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will likely enjoy a few years in the spotlight before a new entry spoils the fun.
