That release date covers the title’s PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam versions. In addition, preorders are now open for the aforementioned platforms.

To celebrate the release date announcement, a second game trailer has likewise been launched.

SEGA also dropped an important update aside from the release date. In The Hinokami Chronicles 2, all nine Hashira, the highest-ranking Demon-Slayer swordmen, have been made into playable characters.

They are:

  • Giyu Tomioka (Water Hashira)
  • Kyojuro Rengoku (Flame Hashira)
  • Tengen Uzui (Sound Hashira)
  • Muichiro Tokito (Mist Hashira)
  • Shinobu Kocho (Insect Hashira)
  • Mitsuri Kanroji (Love Hashira)
  • Obanai Iguro (Serpent Hashira)
  • Sanemi Shinazugawa (Wind Hashira)
  • Gyomei Himejima (Stone Hashira)

In the title’s Story Mode, the story picks up where Tanjiro’s journey left off in the previous title (Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles).

Players will fight through the events of the Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc.

Alternatively, players can play VS Mode and select from a wide array of brand-new characters, including Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji.

The full roster includes 18 characters from the original game. That shall include demons in a free update and characters from the Entertainment District DLC packs.
