Globe partners with Huawei to bring more 5G smartphones in the Philippines

5G — the successor to today’s 4G network — is slowly rolling out in the Philippines. Globe Telecom recently rolled out 5G service in select locations around Metro Manila. Now, they are partnering with Huawei to bring more 5G smartphones to the hands of Filipinos nationwide.

Globe’s collaboration with Huawei means more 5G smartphones for everyone. This is good since 5G networks promise bigger bandwidths than before so more devices can connect without affecting speed. 5G networks also bring reduced latency so web browsing is much more fluid and online multiplayer experience is less laggy. On top of it all, 5G touts faster speeds than before.

For a limited time, these 5G-enabled smartphones are now available for free at lower tiers on Globe’s postpaid plan offerings. The telco is also lowering the one-time cashout for select devices. On top of it all, some devices even come with a freebie.
