How to optimize your home’s Wi-Fi
Three easy steps to maximize Wi-Fi coverage in your own home!
Having a fast broadband connection isn’t enough. You also need strong Wi-Fi to maximize your internet connection. Follow these three tips to optimize your Wi-Fi connection at home.
1) Stay near where the router is
This lets you surf better since doors and walls can weaken Wi-Fi signals
2) Only connect devices that you are using
Too many connections slow your Wi-Fi down.
3) Invest in Wi-Fi mesh extenders
When your home is simply too big for a router, add Wi-Fi extenders to reach more rooms. You can call the Globe Tech Squad at 730-1000 for help.
Follow all these steps for a better Wi-FI experience!

OPPO Reno8 T: Ultra Night Portrait
Taking the Reno8 T on date night
@gadgetmatch OPPO has a new phone and we’re lovin’ it 😉 #OPPOReno8T #ThePortraitExpert #OPPOGoldenHour ♬ Pebbles – Official Sound Studio
We’re taking a closer look at the latest OPPO Reno8 T. A modern and sleek-designed smartphone that’s sure to turn heads.
OPPO Reno8 series has been making waves in the market for its impressive camera capabilities. So I wanted to see for myself how well it performs in different light situations.
We went to a rooftop cafe that I’ve been wanting to visit, where we watched the sunset and spent a lovely night out.
We chose a spot with minimal light since I really wanted to see how the Reno 8T would handle shooting portraits in low-light conditions.
I took a few shots on the same spot trying out the portrait, photo, and the night mode.
I was totally impressed but not surprised by the results. The background was well-lit, giving out a more professional look.
Even in these busy surroundings, I’m still amazed by the clarity and popping color of these photos. Of course, foodie shot for my instagram updates.
Aside from the outstanding camera performance, I’m loving the upgraded orbit light and fiberglass-leather design finish plus the new leather stitching. And oh, look at that dazzling sunset orange color which adds a bit of personality to the phone. it feels comfortable to hold this since it’s also lightweight.
Another night well spent captured by the ultra night portrait feature of the oppo reno 8T—really a game-changer.
Sony WH-1000XM5: One I can’t travel without
As good as ever
Sony just doesn’t miss and the WH-1000XM5 is another testament to that. The aforementioned headphones is the latest in Sony’s cream-of-the-crop line of personal audio companions. The WH-1000XM series has consistently gotten rave reviews and the XM5 looks to continue the trend.
Noise cancellation king
The XM5 — that’s what we’ll call it from here on out — is a travel must-have. Its noise cancellation is still king of the hill! Perfect for drowning out all sorts of sounds wherever you may be. One time, I was using this while my brother was in the same room. I didn’t even notice him move at all even though we were in such a cramped space.
You can cover the right ear cup for quick conversations or change to adaptive sound for full awareness, with a single button press. And most buttons and ports are within reach along the sides of the left ear cup. While the usual controls are still on the right. In this regard, not much has changed, so if you’re upgrading from the XM2 or XM3, you shouldn’t have too much trouble with the controls.
Oh and it’ll stay powered on, even if you’re on a long haul flight. I used this almost non-stop, fully charged, on a 19-hour flight and we landed with it still having around 20 percent of battery left. That was probably the most intense scenario that I was ever in while using the WH-1000XM5. In the few weeks that followed where I didn’t use it as much, it took about two to three weeks before I came reaching for the power cable.
And the sound is the same high quality we’ve come to expect from Sony. Clean highs. Solid mids. And a bass that just hits the spot. The sound kind of dances in your head, making it extra immersive. Sony produces this really round and full sound that I haven’t quite experienced with any other headphones that I’ve tried. Which isn’t a lot. I’m keen on trying the AirPods Max as well as the ones from Sennheiser. From what I heard, those should present some real competition.
You can also tweak it to your liking on the Sony headphones app. One setting you might want to toggle off is the Speak-to-Chat feature. That’s only because it works a little too well. Too many times I found myself just mumbling sounds like “eh,” or even just humming and the XM5 would cut-off what I’m listening to.
Should you upgrade to this?
This really depends on what pair you’re using at the moment. If you’ve always been a Sony headphones fan and are coming from the same line, it’s likely a worthy upgrade EXCEPT if you’re coming from the XM4. Why? The XM4 is the peak of that particular form-factor. That one’s more compact, requiring less space in your bag. The sound quality and features also don’t stray too far from the WH-1000XM5. In fact, that might be the more economical buy at the moment.
But if you have to have the absolute latest Sony WH-1000XM headphone, then you won’t regret getting your hands on the XM5. It’s great, it is still very light and tough. Plus all the noise cancellation and sound quality goodness you’ve come to expect are better than ever.
If you’re coming from any other headphones, I dare say, this is an instant upgrade. Can’t have it any better than this.
Of course, I’m saying this with the caveat that I have to personally try the AirPods Max which I’ve heard many good things about. That is especially true if you’re also tied into the whole Apple ecosystem.
Other than that, you can’t go wrong with the Sony WH-1000XM5.

Power and portability

I get a lot of “what does a freelancer’s day really looks like?” so here’s a glimpse of my day. I usually adjust my schedule depending on what’s on my plate. Portability is so important to me especially when working outside. Thankfully, i get to work with the newest Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon.
I bring this anywhere when i decide to settle in for a few hours of work. It’s super handy and ultra slim. It fits in my 13-inch handbag. It’s tiny but has all the power that i need! It’s designed with an emphasis on portable productivity, just how i like it.
I find early morning time to be my less productive hours. I just check my email and messages while having a quick brunch. I have most of my energy during mid-day and this is the time when i usually set meetings and presentations.
It has a compact 13-inch QHD resolution lay-flat display. And not just that, look how stunning it is with its moon-white color. Really love it!
I do more content editing in the evening. For some reason, the internet connection is much faster during this time.
While bigger can be better, i prefer lighter. As they say, good things come in small packages. The yoga slim 7i carbon is tiny but powerful and it’s perfect for my life as a freelancer.
With its long battery life and innovative features, i’m not worried about my efficiency despite juggling multiple tasks.
Having the right laptop for what i do means getting optimum results. It combines peak performance, ultra-portability, and smarter features. With it, i’m pretty sure i can slay any task that comes my way.
