First iPhone SE 4 leak teases a new design for the series

The return of the iPhone 14?

It’s been a hot minute since the last iPhone SE. The last budget-friendly iPhone came in 2022. Now, there’s a possibility that the near future will see an all-new model coming to the lineup. To stoke the fires of what might be coming, here’s a first look at a potential iPhone SE 4.

Recently, 91mobiles released renders for the supposed successor. According to the report, the render came from industry sources, rather than manually created from reported rumors. That said, take the new images with a grain of salt.

Regardless, the images do paint an interesting picture about the future smartphone. Whereas the last iPhone SE revels in Apple’s more distant past, the new device is taking a huge step forward. Inspired by the iPhone 14, the model will reportedly have Apple’s traditional camera notch and a much thinner bezel. It will also have a larger rear camera.

On a more technical note, the iPhone SE 4 will have a frame measuring at 147.7 x 71.5 x 7.7mm. It will have a 6.1-inch screen, which is a massive upgrade from the third generation’s 4.7-inch display. Additionally, it will lose the home button, opting instead for a huge screen and Face ID.

If the new device interests you, it might be a longer wait time for the iPhone SE 4. The report says that the smartphone is scheduled for a 2025 release window.

US sues Razer over fake Zephyr facemask claims

Advertised N95 filters but didn’t have them

Published

The pandemic turned facemasks into a fashion trend. While most brands fought over who could present the most stylish way to protect yourself from the virus, tech companies rushed to pack the most features into a light wearable. Because the pandemic introduced health risks that the world barely understood, most of these products aren’t the safest around. Now, years after introducing its RGB-infused mask, Razer finds itself in trouble over disproven claims.

In 2021, Razer introduced the Zephyr. It was cyberpunk-looking facemask that supposedly carried N95 filters. Over the years, the company failed to have its claims certified. What’s worse, critics  analyzed the product and found that the filters did not, in fact, keep 95 percent of particles away. (That’s why an N95 mask is named as such.)

Today, the Federal Trade Commission is asking over US$ 1.1 million in refunds to customers who purchased a Zephyr in the past. According to the proposal, Razer misled consumers by claiming the mask had N95 filters. The company also never submitted the product for testing. Though Razer eventually removed the claims, it wasn’t enough.

Additionally, the proposal is seeking US$ 100,000 in damages and a ban on Razer from selling and marketing any further health-inspired products in the future.
