Prada and adidas originals have finally joined together to bring the most stylish bundle in town — and I’m pretty sure you know these European brands very well. This collaboration showcases the marvel of Italian craftsmanship and precise German engineering of the respective brands.

The popularity of the Adidas Superstar has been steadfast for years. The shoe is popular not only among fashionistas, athletes, dancers, and sneakerheads, but also to casual consumers alike. Its design silhouette and comfort have made an impact not just in the fashion industry, but street culture as well. Meanwhile, Prada has been known for being premium — not just in style but also in price and build quality.

In this collaboration, they are bringing the Prada for adidas Limited Edition bundle with only 700 pairs/units. It even shows a number engraving in each pair. The usual adidas originals Superstar has the classic white leather upper, three black stripes, and rubber toe box. The limited edition Prada Superstar is not just rocking the Prada logotype, but also the brand’s full-grain premium leather (which can also be found on the bundled Prada bowling bag).

The bundle will set you back US$ 3,170 (or roughly PhP 162,000) and it will be released on the 4th of December, 2019. Here’s the registration page to know more details about the release. If you will not be able to score this bundle, wait until 2020 for the upcoming Luna Rossa Sailing Footwear and another Prada x adidas sneaker with white, black, and silver colorways.

Apple is launching new Powerbeats with the iPhone 9, leak says

According to new FCC entry

In modern times, smartphone launches usually come out with a flurry of complementary accessories, particularly earpieces. Take note of the Huawei Freebuds or the Galaxy Buds, which both released concurrently (or in proximity) with respective smartphones. As you might expect, today’s latest surge of complementary ear gear originates from Apple, the owner of Beats and maker of AirPods.

As of late, Apple has jumpstarted a wave of new earphone and headphone rumors. For the first, we were expecting a midrange set of AirPods Pro coming later this year. Another leak spoke about an even more premium variant, potentially introducing the series to the headphone segment.

Today, a new leak has revealed an upcoming expansion of Apple’s Beats catalog. According to a revently revealed FCC entry, Apple is working on a set of earphones codenamed “A2015.” To the keen observer, the blueprinted set looks like the Powerbeats 3, a set currently available right now. Very likely, the upcoming earphones will come out as the Powerbeats 4.

Much like the incumbent entry, the Powerbeats 4 is slightly wired, likely connecting both buds without an input/output port. As expected, the FCC entry confirms Bluetooth LE support.

Unfortunately, the entry doesn’t reveal any more information about the upcoming product. However, it will probably launch soon. An FCC entry signals a product further along the development cycle. Given the timing, the Powerbeats 4 can go hand-in-hand with the iPhone 9 coming in March.

Apple is likely working on a midrange AirPods Pro

Coming mid-2020

Have you bought into the wireless earbuds trend? Despite performing at a lesser capacity than wired earphones, wireless earbuds have infiltrated every major player in the tech industry. Currently, Apple, Huawei, and Samsung all sell their own variant of the growing market.

Now, Apple looks to expand their own catalog even further. According to Chinese publication Digitimes, the AirPods maker is developing a budget-friendly version of last year’s AirPods Pro — the AirPods Pro Lite.

Supposedly, Universal Scientific Industrial (USI), a Taiwan-based manufacturer will likely acquire orders from Apple for the upcoming device. The Taiwanese company is working with other manufacturers from China and the US to fulfill the orders.

According to the report, the AirPods Pro Lite will arrive sometime in the middle of the year. However, given the current situation in China, the device’s development might run into a few delays, especially if Apple pursues China-based manufacturers.

Because of the name, the AirPods Pro Lite will likely carry a price tag between the regular AirPods and the premium AirPods Pro. That puts it around US$ 199.

Despite being an accessory, the AirPods lineup is still one of Apple’s most successful products in the current generation. Of course, it helps that the audio accessory almost comes as a requirement for iPhone users.

Sony’s WF-H800 h.ear in TWS headphones offer rich sound

Available in five colors

Already a leader in noise-cancelling headphones, Sony is offering something a little different in the true wireless headpones department — the Sony WF-H800 h.ear in headphones.

One of the first easily noticeable things is how the WF-H800 is available in five colors: red, orange, green, blue, and black.

Noticeably missing is the active noise-cancellation feature. However, it makes up for it with other Sony staple-features, primarily the 360 reality audio. The effect of which can only be truly felt once you experience it for yourself.

It also has a 6mm dynamic driver to deliver a wide range of audio frequencies as well as a feature Sony calls DSEE HX or Digital Sound Enhancement Engine. This tech restores the high-range sound that’s lost in compression. It reproduces digital music files with rich, natural sound.

It’s also lightweight and designed to fit your ears perfectly. The WF-H800 promises up to eight hours of music playback plus another eight hours with the carrying case giving you a total of 16 hours. Additionally, 10 minutes of charge time will give you up to 70 minutes of listening time.

Just like other Sony headphones, these are compatible with both Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa.

Price and availability

The Sony WF-H800 will be available at selected Sony Stores, Sony Centers, Sony authorized dealers and the official Sony store on Lazada from March 2020. It will retail for SG$ 299.
