Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, A52 5G: Price and availability in Singapore

Samsung’s bid to bring it’s latest features to more people takes shape in the form of the Galaxy A32 5G and Galaxy A52 5G.

The hope is that through this pair of midrangers, more users will be pulled into Samsung’s Galaxy of connected devices opening the doors to a smart, connected lifestyle.

Galaxy A32 5G

The Galaxy A32 5G shares components and specs comparable to flagships from the past with some features from flagships of the present. It’s rocking a 6.5inch HD+ PLS TFC LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Housed inside its Infinity-V display is a 13MP f/2.2 selfie shooter.

On the back it’s rocking a quad-camera setup: 48MP f/1.8 main, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, 5MP f/2.4 macro, and 2MP f/2.4 depth. It goes up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage that’s expandable up to 1TB.  Supporting all these is a 5,000mAh battery.

Galaxy A52 5G

The real star of this Unpacked launch is the Galaxy A52 5G. It carries the legacy of the Galaxy A51 — one of Samsung’s best-selling handsets in 2020. It stays true to its earworm of a song which says it has an awesome screen (6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED, 120Hz), awesome camera (Front: 32MP f/2.2, Rear: 64MP f/1.8 main, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, 5MP f/2.4 macro, and 5MP f/2.4 depth), and long-lasting battery life (4,500mAh battery with power optimization via ONE UI 3).

The features don’t just end with the hardware. It’s also home to some staple Samsung camera features like Scene Optimizer, 4K video recording and snap, OIS Camera, and Night Mode.

Lazada special

In conjunction with Lazada’s 8th birthday celebration, the Galaxy A52 5G will be available for order via Lazada starting March 17, 10PM. For a limited time only, consumers who order the Galaxy A52 5G from Lazada will be entitled to a complimentary Galaxy Buds+ in Black (worth SG$ 268).

General availability

The Galaxy A52 5G will be available in Singapore starting March 27, while the Galaxy A32 5G will be available starting 2 April 2.

Both devices will be available at local telecommunication operators (M1, Singtel and StarHub), Samsung Online Store, Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung Official Store in Lazada and Shopee, Amazon, KrisShop, Zalora, Takashimaya Department Store, major consumer electronics & IT stores, and selected authorised mobile retailers.

Both devices will come in these colors: Awesome Black, Awesome Blue, Awesome Violet, Awesome White.

Google Drive was down for PLDT users

Google Drive was not working for PLDT users in the Philippines.

Multiple users in the Philippines have taken to Twitter to express frustration that Google Drive is down. The earliest tweets started at around 7PM (GMT+8). As of writing, the service continues to not work for some people.

Some tweeters have pointed out that the problem is with the Internet Service Provider PLDT. Some have switched to using a different ISP and it has worked for them.

PLDT replying to queries

PLDT has yet to fully acknowledge the problem and have only so far replied to a handful of customers who have tagged them to flag the issue.

As of 4:24AM (GMT+8), the service has returned for some users.

Google Drive is Google’s cloud service that’s also home to its Office Suite of apps including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. Several people rely on the service both for study and work.

Mi 11 Lite: Price and availability in the Philippines

The youngest sibling from the Mi 11 series expansion announcement, the Mi 11 Lite, has made its way to the Philippines.

Despite an overall slim footprint, it does sport a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10. It also has a 4,250mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chip. It’s a chip that’s more than capable of handling most of what you’ll do on a smartphone. Into gaming? Yes, this phone can certainly handle that. It even employs the LiquidCool tech to keep you cool even as the game heats up.

It also has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Yes, this is only the 4G version. No word yet if the 5G one will arrive in the country. Its camera setup are as follows: 64MP f/1.79 Wide. 8MP f/2.2 UWA, 5MP f/2.4 Telemacro, and 16MP selfie camera.

The phone will come in three colors: Boba Black, Bubblegum Blue and Peach Pink.

Price and availability

The Mi 11 Lite will retail for PhP 14,990 and will be available for purchase from Authorized Mi Stores and partner retailers nationwide as well as our official stores in Lazada and Shopee starting April 24.

Lenovo unveils new Eyesafe-certified ThinkVision monitors
