Samsung launches Galaxy S21 FE 5G

Available January 11

Right before the launch of the next Galaxy S series, Samsung has announced one final hurrah for the Galaxy S21 series. As the company does every year, the current Galaxy S series will get a Fan Edition (or FE for short). Starting this month, users can purchase the Galaxy S21 FE 5G online.

As with all FE models from Samsung, the Galaxy S21 FE 5G will combine the best of the Galaxy S21 series into one affordable package. Under the hood, the new smartphone comes with a 5nm 64-bit octa-core processor. (Actual specs will depend on territory.) It will have up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

For cameras, the Galaxy S21 FE 5G will feature a triple rear camera combination consisting of 12-megapixel ultra-wide + 12-megapixel wide + 8-megapixel telephoto lenses. Further, the 8-megapixel telephoto camera will have 30x Space Zoom. In front, the smartphone will have a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

The phone’s 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, making it a silky smooth driver for its size. Out of the box, it comes with Android 12. As the name suggests, it will also have 5G compatibility. Finally, it has a sizable 4500mAh battery compatible with 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

It will come in four color options: Olive, Lavender, White, and Graphite. The phone will start selling on January 11 online through and retailers online.
