Samsung just announced their greatest and latest Galaxy flagships: the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+.
The new Samsung phones come in two sizes, again, with the Galaxy S9 being the smaller of the two with a 5.8-inch AMOLED Infinity Display and the Galaxy S9+ with a larger 6.2-inch AMOLED Infinity Display. This time around though, the Galaxy S9+ is not just bigger; it also has a dual rear camera setup like on the Galaxy Note 8 and a higher 6GB of memory compared to 4GB of the Galaxy S9.
Compared to last year’s flagship offering, the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are more expensive at launch starting at SG$ 1,198 and SG$ 1,348 for the 64GB storage version. If you want the highest-end variant of the Galaxy S9+ with 256GB of storage, you’ll have to shell out SG$ 1,498.
Pre-orders in Singapore starts on March 1, 2018 at 12pm. Consumers can pre-order their own unlocked (no-contract) Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ via the Samsung Store online or through Samsung Experience Stores. The Galaxy Studio in VivoCity will also be open for pre-orders from March 8.
For those who want to avail it through telco operators, it’ll be available on M1, Singtel, and StarHub. Other major online stores like Best Denki, Courts, Gain City, Hachi, Harvey Norman, Lazada Singapore, and Newstead are also accepting pre-orders.
A Samsung Concierge Care Pack worth SG$ 128 will be given to all consumers who purchase a Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+, while those who’ll avail of the 256GB version of the Galaxy S9+ will also get a Wireless Charger Stand (Black) worth SG$ 108.
To complement the new Galaxy phones, the following accessories will also be available in stores: Hyperknit Cover, Protective Standing Cover, Alcantara Cover, Clear View Standing Cover, LED View Cover, DeX Pad, and Wireless Charger Stand.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be available on March 16, 2018 in Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple.

Testament to Nokia’s craftsmanship
Two years after making its big comeback, Nokia is slowly filling in the pieces of its Android smartphone lineup. The star of course has to be the new Nokia 8 Sirocco, the most premium from the announcements at Mobile World Congress.
But our favorite is the Nokia 7 Plus, a near-borderless Android One phone with Zeiss optics and a beautiful build.
