Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G price, availability in Singapore

The foldable for everyone?

Galaxy Z Flip4

Samsung has flipped the billing of their foldables. The Galaxy Z Flip4 5G now headlines Samsung’s August Unpacked event and it’s coming to Singapore.

It’s not hard to see why. Of the two devices, it’s the Flip that’s more familiar. It’s a modern throwback, applying the clamshell design from the late 90s and early 2000s to a 2022 smartphone.

Pricing and availability

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 will come in three storage configurations with the following pricing.

  • 129GB – SG$ 1,398
  • 256GB – SG$ 1,498
  • 512GB – SG$ 1,748

These will come in Bora Purple, Graphite, Pink Gold, and Blue.

But there’s also a BeSpoke edition where you can mix and match colors. For the frame you can choose from Silver, Black and Gold. And for the front and back panels, you can choose from Yellow, White, Navy, Khaki, and Red.

The Galaxy Z Flip4 Bespoke Edition has a 256GB storage and will retail for SG$ 1,548.

Pre-order period begins on August 10, 2022 at 9PM. Those who pre-order will be able to collect their devices starting on August 26, 2022, Friday.

The Galaxy Z Flip4 5G, Galaxy Z Fold4 5G, Galaxy Watch5 Series and Galaxy Buds2 Pro will be available in Singapore starting September 2, 2022, Friday at 10AM.

Shooting modes

With it comes some fancy new tech. Being able to be folded halfway means it’s open to new video taking possibilities. This shooting instance now aptly called FlexCam is more refined than ever.

Folding the Galaxy Z Flip4, while in camera mode, instantly switches to Flex Mode where you have your viewfinder in the upper half and the camera controls on the lower half.

It’s also now available in more apps. You can shoot directly from the Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook apps and you’ll get the FlexCam interface. Same is true for YouTube. This encourages easier shooting of the now famous short-form videos. Curiously, it left out TikTok which popularized, if not ushered in this new video trend.

The other shooting modes from previous generations are also still here. You have Quick Shot which lets you take selfies using the main camera and the Cover Screen as your viewfinder. Portrait Mode is now also available in this mode.

You can now also take videos with Quick Shot Mode. And if you ever find the need for it, Quick Shot can seamlessly transition to Flex Mode without having to stop the video recording.

If you’re wondering about the numbers on the cameras, here they are:

Front:

  • 10MP, f/2.4

Rear:

  • 12MP Ultra Wide, f/2.2
  • 12MP Wide Angle, f/1.8

Under the hood

The Galaxy Z Flip4 isn’t just some fancy lifestyle smartphone that lags in performance. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

The battery also sees a bit of a bump going from the 3,300mAh to 3,700mAh. Together with the new processor, this hopefully solves the Galaxy Z Flip3’s primary pain point which is a rather unsatisfactory battery life.

It supports Super Fast Charging which can get it from zero percent to 50 percent in around 30 minutes. Provided you’re using at least a 25W adapter which, as you know, is sold separately.

The phone has an IPX8 water resistance meaning it should be able to go as deep as 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. Still, we typically don’t recommend taking this for a swim.

Lastly, it’s running ONE UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12.

Xiaomi is doubling down on its retail footprint in Singapore, announcing the grand opening of its largest store yet in the island in VivoCity.

The opening is part of the tech giant’s celebration of its decade-long presence in the market. It also coincides with the opening of another branch in White Sands Singapore on June 27.

The twin openings bring Xiaomi’s total count to 18 locations islandwide, with three launched in the first half of 2026 alone.

The brand remains firmly on track to clear the 20-store milestone across Singapore by the end of the year.

Spanning an expansive 221 square meters (2,378 square feet), the flagship VivoCity location will house close to 500 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs).

The layout is designed to offer an intimate, highly interactive hands-on experience, allowing fans to test everything from Xiaomi’s premium smartphone lineups to its wearables, smart home appliances, and lifestyle gadgets.

Weekend opening deals

To celebrate the milestone, the VivoCity branch is hosting an aggressive grand opening weekend packed with major price slashes, bundle freebies, and tier-based discounts from June 27 to June 30 (while stocks last).

Here are the standout launch deals to look out for:

  • Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i: Down to SG$ 299 (U.P. SG$ 439) for the first three buyers daily

Additionally, checking out with two or more AIoT smart home devices nets you an instant 10% discount.

Spending at least SG$ 200 secures a return voucher for 5% off your next smartphone or 10% off subsequent AIoT purchases.

Furthermore, if you are heading down early on Saturday, any receipt over SG$ 50 enters you into a live lucky draw at 3:00 PM on June 27.

Prizes up for grabs include a 55-inch Xiaomi TV A Pro (worth SG$ 589), a Redmi Pad 2 Pro (worth SG$ 329), and high-capacity Xiaomi Power Banks.

UGREEN FineTrack

UGREEN is expanding its smart travel lineup with the launch of the new FineTrack Series, a collection of compact trackers designed to help users keep tabs on everyday essentials.

Leading the announcement are the FineTrack 2 and FineTrack Mini 2, both of which support Apple’s Find My network for easy location tracking through compatible Apple devices. The trackers are built for travelers and commuters who want an extra layer of security for items such as keys, bags, wallets, and passports.

The FineTrack 2 comes in a soccer-inspired design created to celebrate the upcoming 2026 World Cup, while the FineTrack Mini 2 adopts a slimmer tag-style form factor that fits more easily inside wallets and passport holders. Both devices feature glow-in-the-dark accents for improved visibility in low-light conditions.

UGREEN says the trackers offer global tracking capabilities through Apple’s Find My ecosystem, along with smart left-behind alerts that notify users before they accidentally leave important belongings behind. When an item is nearby, users can trigger an alarm reaching up to 110dB to help locate it faster.

The company also highlights long-term reliability, with battery life rated for up to seven years. The FineTrack 2 additionally carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

UGREEN has also announced Southeast Asia pricing for the new FineTrack Series.

Price and availability

In Singapore, the FineTrack 2 is priced at SGD 29.99, while the FineTrack Mini 2 costs SGD 25.99. Malaysian pricing comes in at RM 69 and RM 59, respectively.
