Looking to rebound from the not-so-good reception of Redfall, the Xbox Games Showcase showed off their next big thing — Starfield, along with many games that gamers can look forward too.
Here are the best announcements, trailers from the show.
Starfield
If you didn’t have any idea what Starfield was about prior to the showcase, you sure will now. Not only was there a trailer, Starfield even had a separate presentation showcasing many aspects of the game. Launching on Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 6.
Star Wars: Outlaws
This is the open-world Star Wars game that’s rumored to be under development by Ubisoft. Well, it’s no longer a rumor. While only the trailer was shown in the Xbox Games Showcase, gameplay will be shown at Ubisoft Forward.
Fable
The Fable series is coming back after years of dormancy. From the looks of the trailer, it appears this game in particular will be a reboot of sorts. The graphics are stunning and the dialogue is hilarious. Now, we just need to see more gameplay.
South of Midnight
We love it when games have a unique art style and South of Midnight has just that. The trailer opens with an old man playing blues on a guitar. The animation is reminiscent of stop-motion. It looks promising but again, we need to see some gameplay.
33 Immortals
From the makers of Spiritfarer, 33 Immortals is undeniably a Thunder Lotus games bases on the art style. But the similarities end there. 33 Immortals 33-person co-op “pick up and raid” roguelike. It’s coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2024.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
Ninja Theory, the team behind Hellblade, showed a new cinematic trailer featuring Senua. In the trailer, she’s shown to be conversing with her inner voices before colliding through a pool of water. Release date is scheduled some time in 2024.
Avowed
First-person enthusiasts have something to look forward to. Avowed showed off plenty of gameplay. This included some spell-casting, shooting firearms, and some sword-wielding. It’s slated for a 2024 release.
Like A Dragon 8: Infinite Wealth
Probably the most hilarious cinematic trailer on the show. It shows Like a Dragon protagonist Ichiban cluelessly naked on a beach field with Westerners. Some have speculated that the location is Hawaii which is where the game will be set. It slated for release on November 19, 2023.
Payday 3
Feelin’ criminal? Payday 3 has you covered. The game will have you robbing banks and fighting the boys in blue in this co-op FPS game. Payday 3 is set to launch on September 3, nearly on every platform.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Capcom has been on fire of late, releasing one banger game after another. They look to continue that streak with Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. It looks like samurai-ish games with plenty of supernatural elements. That’s a concept that Capcom is familiar with. No release window was announced.
Cyberpunk-2077: Phantom Liberty
Cyberpunk 2077 has probably one of the biggest bounce back in recent gaming history. After a lackluster initial release, CD Projekt Red put in the work to make it now one of the more beloved games. And based on impressions from those who have had hands-on time with Cyberpunk-2077: Phantom Liberty, they might have outdone themselves yet again. Phantom Liberty drops on September 26.
Day 1 on Game Pass
Don’t worry Persona fans, we didn’t miss the three games from Atlus showed of at the Xbox Games Showcase. We have a separate article on that. But two of the three games — Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica, and Metaphor: ReFantazio — are set to release Day 1 on Game Pass once they launched along with the ones listed here:

AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 now available for Radeon RX 7000 Series
Update drops earlier than expected, powering more than 300 supported games
PC and handheld gamers can officially skip the wait, as AMD has launched its FSR 4.1 upscaling technology for Radeon RX 7000 series (RDNA 3) GPUs.
Computing and Graphics Group Senior Vice President and GM Jack Huynh made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter). This development brings machine learning powered gaming to millions of players across more than 300 games.
By downloading the latest AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 driver, users can unlock the new AI upscaling suite on existing RX 7000 series desktop graphics cards.
(The driver can be downloaded here.)
The update drastically sharpens image reconstruction, delivers far superior temporal stability, and keeps motion ghosting to an absolute minimum. That’s across a massive library of supported titles.
Beyond optimized frame rates out of the gate for those two blockbusters, the release packs vital architecture stability improvements and bug fixes for the broader Radeon ecosystem.
Huynh added that AMD is actively engineering lightweight machine learning models to expand FSR 4.1 optimizations to a wider base of gamers. More details are to come.
Moreover, the driver for the FSR 4.1 upscaling technology will deliver day-one support for two highly anticipated releases: Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations.
if you are wielding an RDNA 3 desktop rig or an RDNA 3-powered handheld, like the ROG Ally X or Lenovo Legion GO, simply open up the AMD Software suite, get the update, and test the new AI tech.
