Infinix ZERO X Pro

When we first shared the specs of the Infinix ZERO X Pro, it got a considerable amount of attention. Now, the phone has arrived in the Philippines and will likely gain even more attention with its pricing.

Before that, though. Let’s recap. What is it exactly about the Infinix ZERO X Pro that got people wide-eyed? First of, it’s Infinix’s first camera-centric phone in a “premium” packaging. It’s main camera has a 108-megapixel main camera. Yes, of course, megapixel count isn’t everything. But that’s not all. That camera has an f/1.8 aperture with a 1/1.52″. That alone promises good low light performance while capturing plenty of detail.

Flanking the main camera are a 60X 8-megapixel periscope moonshot camera. If you dream of capturing the night sky, this is your lens as it’s coupled with what Infinix is calling the Galileo Algorithm Engine. It also has an 8-megapixel 120º ultrawide camera that you can also use for Macro shooting. Lastly, there’s a 16MP shooter for selfie lovers.

Elsewhere on the phone, you have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset and with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

For the battery capacity, it has 4,500mAh with support for 45W fast wired charging. Infinix says it can go from zero to 40 percent in just 15 minutes.

Price and availability

The Infinix ZERO X Pro is now available and retails for PhP 14,990. For a limited time though, specifically October 5-10, the phone can be had on Shopee for only PhP 13,890.

The iPhone 18 series saw immense demand upon its availability in Vietnam, with reports indicating that pre-orders at some local retailers for the latest Apple devices more than tripled compared to the previous generation during the same window.

Pre-orders in the market officially opened last month and saw hundreds of thousands of deposits in just days. Devices officially began hitting shelves and delivering to consumers last September 18.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max has been the sought-after model, as XO Tours noted, accounting for about 80% to 90% of the total number of pre-orders. Meanwhile, Burgundy has been the hit color option.

Retailers did have a few safeguards in place, like limiting each customer to a maximum of two Pro or Pro Max units combined.

And in spite of the hefty price tags, the availability of 0% interest installment plans, as well as Buy Now, Pay Later options kept the flagship models as an accessible luxury for consumers, with trade-ins also providing additional discounts.

As with many developing markets, Vietnam also relies heavily on smartphones as everyday devices over laptops, tablets, or PCs.
