HUAWEI to launch TruSense-powered WATCH GT 5, two new MatePads, more
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 and more are coming on September 19
HUAWEI will be releasing five new devices on September 19 via a keynote event in Barcelona, Spain. The lineup will include the new HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 series, as well as two more smartwatches and two new HUAWEI MatePad tablets.
The Chinese tech giant has already released the Mate XT earlier this month. It is the world’s first tri-folding smartphone, which is expected to reset the standard for foldables. HUAWEI doesn’t plan on slowing down even as their competitors have announced their own latest devices.
Arguably the most anticipated highlight of the event is the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 series. It is expected that the latest HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 will integrate the recently announced HUAWEI TruSense System.
As mentioned, this new innovation has the ability to track more than 60 health and fitness metrics and promises more precise and comprehensive data. It can even “measure” one’s emotional well-being, making the next HUAWEI wearable a potential game-changer in its segment.

Joining the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 are the HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate, which is expected to have new features tailor-made for golf enthusiasts, and the HUAWEI WATCH D 2 which might boast of a next-generation blood monitoring function. Once it launches, the WATCH D 2 will be the first smartwatch to support real-time blood pressure monitoring.
New HUAWEI MatePad tablets
Furthermore, HUAWEI is set to debut two new MatePad tablets of similar sizes. First is the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2″. This latest MatePad Pro is said to include a Tandem OLED PaperMatte Display.
The latest display features anti-glare capabilities, eye-soothing properties, and a pen-on-paper writing experience.
HUAWEI will also introduce an upgraded Glide Keyboard as part of its launch. The second tablet the company will be launching is the HUAWEI MatePad 12 X.

The iPhone 18 might sell out for an unexpected reason
The ongoing shortage might play a part in the phone selling out earlier than expected.
An iPhone selling out is not news. Because of how popular the phones are, it’s within the realm of probability that Apple runs out of stock at some point. According to a new report, this year won’t be any different… but it’s for an entirely different reason.
First reported by analyst Tim Culpan, Apple is reportedly struggling to meet its demand for semiconductors for the iPhone 18 and the foldable iPhone. The ongoing memory shortage is cutting off Apple’s ability to deliver the required supply of smartphones in a timely fashion. The report even claims that TSMC, which helps produce the iPhone, is sitting on a shipment of processors, worth US$ 1 billion, that don’t have memory chips.
Now, Apple is still confident that it can weather the launch. However, if the shortage persists, the iPhone 18 generation will likely sell out much more quickly than expected.
It’s an interesting time for Apple to experience such a shortage. It’s been heavily rumored that the company will launch its very first foldable phone next month, creating a new market for the brand. Apple definitely wants this attempt to succeed after the tepid response to its last new product, the Vision Pro.
