The Pro model is not alone

While OnePlus is proud to present the OnePlus 7 Pro with all of its premium features (and premium price tag), there’s another new OnePlus phone — the OnePlus 7.

If you watched OnePlus’ keynote in New York, there was no OnePlus 7 presented on stage. They didn’t even mention it. That’s because the non-Pro model won’t be available in the US. Instead, North America has the discounted OnePlus 6T.

The standard OnePlus 7 is like a refreshed OnePlus 6T. At first glance, the new phone’s hardware is nearly identical to the older model complete with the teardrop notch, flat display, and dual rear cameras.

The notable change on the OnePlus 7 is the back glass. It matches the color and styling of its Pro sibling. However, the regular model has something the Pro doesn’t: a red color option.

In terms of specs and features, the OnePlus 7 has the essentials of the 6T but with the new traits of the 7 Pro. It has a Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 8GB of memory, up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. It also has a main 48-megapixel camera and stereo speakers.

What’s not new is the same 3700mAh battery with 20W fast charging from the 6T, the 16-megapixel front-facing camera, and the older vibration motor. The phone still has an in-display fingerprint sensor, but it’s unclear if it has been upgraded.

The OnePlus 7 starts at GBP 499 or EUR 549 with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. It’ll also come in an 8GB+256GB configuration for GBP 549 or EUR 599. It’ll be available in Mirror Gray and Red color options, although the latter is exclusive to China and India.

Ghost of Yotei gets a story expansion in October

The Complete Edition comes with the expansion and a roguelike mode.

Published

Ghost of Yotei is a classic RPG experience set in the same universe as its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima. In my opinion, Atsu’s journey of revenge feels a lot more fun than Jin’s battle to save his homeland. If you’re in the same boat, Ghost of Yotei is coming back on October 1 with brand-new content.

Without delving too much into spoiler territory, Ghost of Yotei has a conclusive ending. Rather than shoehorning a forced epilogue, Echoes of Sekigahara, the title of the upcoming story expansion, explores Atsu’s past.

As with Tsushima’s expansion, Echoes of Sekigahara features a new map with new enemies, weapons, and collectibles. It will be set in two different time periods.

Besides the story expansion, the upcoming update also has a new mode called Most Wanted, which Sucker Punch Production describes as their “spin on a roguelike.” The mode explores Atsu’s experience as a headhunter, feeding her with bounties and earnable perks.

The two new content expansions will come with in the upcoming Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition. The new edition, coming on October 1, will also come with the co-op Legends mode. It also has a few perks and customization options. The edition will sell for US$ 70.

If you already have the base edition, you can grab an upgrade for only US$ 15. If you don’t want to pay for the upgrade, the game is still getting a few minor tweaks.
