AMD unveils its new Ryzen Threadripper PRO processors

AMD has had a resurgence these past couple of months, thanks in part to Ryzen. Their latest processors bring power to any workstation while maintaining energy efficiency. As such, several companies adopted these processors from the ultrabooks to the gaming machines. Plus, they even got the next-gen consoles rocking Team Red!

This time around, they’re launching a new Ryzen Threadripper lineup of processors for professional workstations. Dubbed as the Threadripper PRO, they provide the latest in AMD’s technologies designed for heavy workloads. These are based on 7nm process technology, fitting 64 cores into the CPU for unrivaled performance.

Along with up to 64 cores of performance, the new Ryzen Threadripper PRO supports 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes for a variety of GPUs and storage options. With these new PCIe lanes, they aim to accelerate workflows for artists, architects, engineers, and content creators with support for next-gen graphics cards. Also, they come with AMD PRO Security technologies dedicated to keeping sensitive information safe.
