Disney+ Secret Invasion trailer out now
Nick Fury is back

The trailer for Disney+’s upcoming “Secret Invasion” series is now available. It gives viewers a glimpse of Marvel Studio’s espionage thriller set for June 21 premiere.
The new series is set in the present day MCU, when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) learns of the Skrulls’ invasion of Earth. He will join his familiar allies Everett Ross, Maria Hill, and Talos. The latter is a Skrull who has settled on earth, to stop the invasion and save humanity.

While the human race knows little about the Skrulls, it isn’t the first time the shapeshifters have seen screentime in the MCU.
They made their cinematic debut in Captain Marvel, and were also given exposure in Spider-Man: Far From Home where it was revealed that Fury and Hill have been just Talos and another Skrull pretending to be them all along.
Skrulls play a huge part

The trailer mentions about Fury being gone, so the series is poised to shed more details on what he has done while he was away and if his relationship with the Skrulls are positive or not, even if Talos has been helping them.
In case you forgot, Fury was in a remote location at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, and no one knows exactly how long (his appearance in the trailer with the white beard is certainly a giveaway).

Some were also looking for the Avengers, but as we all know, they have not been together as a squad since Phase 3, so this series will connect more pieces together as the MCU unravels Phase 5 further.
