Android 11 has the fastest adoption rate so far
Everyone will get it soon
Do you have the latest version of Android already? Despite previous promises to deliver timely updates, getting the latest update is still a chore. However, amid everything, Android 11 reportedly has the highest adoption rate of any Android version so far.
According to data from StatCounter, last year’s Android 11 has already captured more than 20 percent of the market just six months since its launch. Apparently, it’s the fastest adoption rate for an Android update.
Naturally, 25 percent isn’t anything to brag about. Currently, Android 10 is still the most common Android version in the United States and all over the world. In the United States, Android 10 still has 37 percent of the market. Internationally, Android 10 still has around 42 percent of the market.
However, if the trend continues, Android 11 is quickly turning into the dominant Android version. Already, a lot of companies are promising around four years of continuous updates for their devices. For most users, the promises are a big thing. Throughout the years, Android updates have infamously lagged behind in rolling out updates for compatible devices.
If you don’t have the update yet, it might not take long before you get your own update. That said, Google is already hatching the next update, internally named Snow Cone, for later this year.

HONOR has teased the Magic9 Pro Max at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, highlighting its growing partnership with cinema camera maker ARRI.
The Magic9 Pro Max made its first public debut at the festival. It comes in a distinctive moss green finish, with an ARRI-branded camera module inspired by the design language of one of the company’s iconic cinema cameras.
HONOR and ARRI are working to bring elements of professional filmmaking workflows to smartphones. The partnership adapts ARRI’s image science for mobile devices, giving creators greater flexibility during production while preserving creative control in post-production.
The collaboration brings ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3, and ARRI Looks to HONOR’s mobile imaging platform. LogC3 preserves more highlight and shadow information for post-production, while Wide Gamut 3 provides a broader color space. ARRI Looks also offer controlled cinematic color styles.
HONOR also showcased its Robot Phone at Venice. Co-engineered with ARRI, the device features a mechanical gimbal and professional-grade cinematic imaging capabilities, demonstrating the companies’ push toward more accessible mobile filmmaking.
The partnership will extend to more HONOR devices in the future. The upcoming HONOR Magic9 Series is scheduled to launch first in China in late September, bringing ARRI imaging capabilities to a wider range of mobile users.
HONOR and ARRI say they will continue refining their integrated imaging technologies and workflows through technical validation and real-world filmmaking applications.

vivo offers consumers more affordable way of owning smartphones
vivo is offering its market an affordable way to own its smartphones without necessarily purchasing a brand-new unit: vivo refurbished phones.
Unlike ordinary second-hand phones, the refurbished vivo units are brand-managed devices that undergo inspection, cleaning, and necessary repairs by vivo customer service professionals.
After undergoing such a process, the phones are then made available for resale. This gives consumers a more accessible way to own a vivo smartphone — with added assurance of professional quality checks and warranty support.

vivo says the refurbished units include those previously used by KOLs or ambassadors, as well as store display and demo units. They will be divided into two main types: Pre-owned (LDU) and Near New.
Once these devices are returned, they are handled by vivo customer service professionals and undergo the necessary inspection, cleaning, and repair processes before being relisted for sale.
This gives consumers another option when looking for a vivo smartphone that fits their budget. Refurbished units can make selected vivo devices more accessible.
Furthermore, the units will still come with a standard one-year warranty, with the warranty start date determined according to the unit’s classification and available proof of purchase.
