After all the leaks, the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are now official. Both come with bigger screens, better cameras, and sadly, higher prices. If you want to get them at a more reasonable price, you could check out Verizon’s offer in the US.
For a limited time, you can buy one Google Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL through Verizon with monthly device payments for 24 months, and get a Pixel 3 (64GB) for free.
It’s basically a buy one, get one deal for the base model. If you wish to get a better variant, you can use the US$ 799.99 credit to get any other Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL model.
Of course, there’s a catch to these deals. Verizon wants you to add a new line to one of your Pixel 3 phones. Seems like a pretty fair deal, right? Pre-orders are now open through Verizon’s website.
The Pixel 3 phones are available in Clearly White, Just Black, and Not Pink colors. The Pixel 3 starts at US$ 33.33 per month for 24 months on Verizon device payment (US$ 799.99 retail price), while the Pixel 3 XL starts at US$ 38.74 per month for 24 months (US$ 929.99 retail price).

New time-saving features
If flying’s not your thing or it’s just simply outside your budget, there are other new features that can help you save both your time and your money. And that’s always a good thing.
We all know how crazy fast the items go once sale day hits. Lazada knows this and is offering you a way to get first dibs on items you really, really want. To get a head start simply order the item, place a 10% non-refundable deposit, settle the balance within the validity period, then wait for your order to arrive at your doorstep.
It’s important to note that this is only available on selected items as the feature is still under testing. It was first introduced in Malaysia and the company is hoping it gains traction in the Philippines.
No need to leave your home to settle those pesky bills. If you’re the type who hasn’t set up online payment, Lazada is making it easy for you. You can now pay for your Meralco, Maynilad, Manila Water, Albay Power & Energy, Davao Light, VECO, Metropolitan Cebu Water and Prime Water bills on the Lazada app.
That’s not all, you can also get up to PhP 300 cashback when bills are paid using the Lazada Wallet from now until November 2019.
Additional Collection Points
If, like me, you’re not really sure where you’ll end up at any given point of the day, then you’ll find this super helpful. The list of Lazada authorized collection points have been expanded and spread-out all-over Manila in select SM Malls and GrowSari branches. Just add to cart and select pickup instead of delivery when you shop checkout your items. You can check out the full list here.
When you badly need an item or few items but just don’t have the cash on hand, Lazada is also giving you a… well, a hand. In partnership with BillEase, pera247 and TendoPay, you can now apply for a loan for of anywhere between PhP 500 to PhP 50,000.
All you need to do is complete the application process and submit all needed requirements. Once approved, the loan amount will be credited to your Lazada Wallet which you can use upon checkout. There will be one to 12 months repayment options.
Pre-order the new Vivo S1 and get a JBL speaker for free
That’s a pretty nifty combo
Last July, Vivo announced the S1, a midrange phone that is a first in its S series. The company is bundling a freebie for those who would pre-order the device.
From August 30 to September 6, the Vivo S1 can be pre-ordered for PhP 14,999. A JBL Go 2 Bluetooth speaker is bundled with every pre-order of the device.
The bundled freebie is a compact Bluetooth speaker that is waterproof with IPX7 certification. Its battery can last up to 5 hours of playtime for that extended Spotify session.
Meanwhile, the Vivo S1 up for pre-order in the Skyline Blue variant that comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
It also features a 6.38-inch FHD AMOLED screen with a waterdrop notch housing the front camera. An in-display fingerprint sensor is also be available on the device.
Selfie-lovers will be happy with the Vivo S1’s 32MP front camera that comes with AI optimizations. Meanwhile, the triple rear cameras are comprised of a 16MP main, 8MP secondary, and 2MP wide-angle camera.
Performance is adequate with Helio P65 and Android 9 Pie powering the phone. Keeping the lights on is a 4,500 mAh battery that can be fast-charged with an 18W charger.
With its price, the phone proves to be a decent midranger that is surely a value for the money. Other Vivo phones that offer bang for the buck and has the same price point as the S1 includes the Vivo V15 and the Vivo V11.
