In a couple of short hours, Google’s big October event in San Francisco will start. We’re expecting a bunch of new hardware from the Mountain View company, including two high-end smartphones, an Amazon Echo rival, a WiFi router, and a media-streaming device with 4K and HDR support.

We may also see a glimpse of a new operating system for laptops and 2-in-1 devices that combines Android and Chrome OS. That’s pretty much it, as far as major announcements go, but we wouldn’t rule out any last-minute surprises.

The only way to know for sure is to follow along with our live blog on this page, where we’ll be offering real-time updates and commentary as the event unfolds. Be sure to check back at 9 a.m. San Francisco time.
