Limited edition Honor MagicWatch 2 design series unveiled

Time-pieces have always been more than just a way to tell time. In some ways, it’s become a form of self-expression. With that in mind, Honor launches nine limited edition Honor MagicWatch 2 designs.

The designs were made in collaboration with a number of rising stars in the worlds of art and graphic design including Jacky Tsai, George Greaves, Wang DongLing and Giovanni Ozzola. These were made with the vision of bringing together elements of illustration, graphic design, photography, sculpture and calligraphy.

HONOR x Jacky Tsai An Innovative Fusion of Pop Art and Chinese Craftmanship with “Floral Horse” and “Shanghai Tang Café” 

With two eye-catching limited-edition designs, named “Floral Horse” and “Shanghai Tang Café” respectively, Jacky fuses elements of pop art with iconic eastern influences using splashes of colour across the watch faces and straps.

HONOR x Zhou Li Creating movement and rhythm with dynamic lines and brunch strokes

Known for her oriental aesthetic and acute sensory observations of the world, Zhou Li is one of the most influential female artists in China. Zhou creates paintings, sculptures, installations and public arts using multiple mediums including oil paint, ink, charcoal and cotton textiles.

“Pencil Bryan” by Xu Lei

Founder of Pencil Bryan’s design team, Xu Lei has produced a number of illustrations for high-end fashion magazines over the years as well as collaborating with a range of global brands. Xu is known for his surreal, conceptual art, with a vivid and unique style, combing the rational and the conceptual he is able to illustrate the perceived world with a unique, avant-gard perspective.

Honor MagicWatch 2 pricing and availability

The Honor MagicWatch 2 will be available in two sizes — 46mm and 42mm.  The 46mm variant is designed with an auto-racing watch panel for a sporty, bold and adventurous look, the 42mm variant is designed with fashion in mind.

It has a 1.39-inch full-color AMOLED touchscreen, customizable watchfaces, up to 14 days of ultra long-lasting battery life and a range of health and fitness features. There will also be three straps to choose from: including elastic rubber (an eco-friendly hypoallergenic material), leather and metal, you can customize the watch for any occasion.

The Honor MagicWatch 2 46mm Charcoal Black is available to purchase from GBP 159.99 in the UK on Amazon and eBay and coming soon to John Lewis starting  February 3, 2020. The 42mm Agate Black variant of the watch will be available from GBP 149.99 in the UK on Amazon and John Lewis starting from February 12, 2020.

Lenovo has been rather busy recently updating their entire product portfolio. So this ThinkBook and ThinkVision refresh was absolutely inevitable and most definitely welcome.

We’re going to go through all the ThinkBooks and ThinkVisions real quick. Ready? Take a breath. Let’s go!

ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 i

This was co-engineered with Intel and meets the requirements of the Intel Evo platform. That’s true across hardware specifications and key experience targets for device responsiveness, instant wake, battery life and fast charge.

It has a high resolution 13.3-inch display with a new 16:10 aspect ratio that offers 90% screen-to-body ratio with ultra-narrow bezels and is available with optional touch.

You’re also getting Thunderbolt 4 port and optional PCIe Gen 4 storage.

We’ll be going on virtual meetings for the foreseeable future. Taking that into account, the ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 i features microphones that has three audio modes: private, shared, and environmental.

Need something flexible? Well, here you go. The popular Yoga form factor means this thing can bend and a different number of ways.

For performance, it’s powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors. It also comes with the Lenovo Smart Pen to really help you let your creativity run wild.

It’s available in Mineral Grey with an Abyss Blue version added to the mix.

If working smart is your think then it doesn’t get any smarter than this. It’s powered by 11th Gen Intel Core Processors (will also come in AMD variants) with flexible storage options: HDD + SSD or dual SSD.

Working remotely and need support? The service hot key helps users reach Lenovo support at the press of a button, automatically including device details such as serial number for a fast track support experience.

But here’s the kicker. It comes with ThinkBook wireless earbuds that can be stored within the laptop. The earbuds charge automatically when stored and connect to the laptop audio instantly when taken out. Double tapping toggles the mute function, and it has dual mics and environmental noise cancellation.

Lenovo launches ThinkPad X1 Nano, pre-order for ThinkPad X1 Fold

If the Yoga lineup is any indication, it’s that Lenovo has never been shy about experimenting with form factors. They doubled up on that when they unveiled the ThinkPad X1 Fold at CES 2020. Now, they’re following it up with the ThinkPad X1 Nano.

Here’s a refresher on the ThinkPad X1 Fold in case you forgot what it was.

So yeah, it’s a PC but not exactly. Lenovo is calling it a new device category. It starts at US$ 2,499 and is now available for pre-order.

ThinkPad X1 Nano

The ThinkPad X1 Nano is being billed as the lightest ThinkPad ever. At less than 1kg, it’s hard to argue against that claim. It promises a complete laptop package all while being ultra freaking light.

It comes with up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and Intel Iris X graphics. That combo promises 20% faster office productivity and over 2x faster gaming plus streaming.

It has Thunderbolt 4 for fast, single cable connection to power, monitors, storage, as well as other external devices.

It’s the first ThinkPad to feature an updated suite of AI and biometric ThinkShield security features. These include new voice recognition and human presence detection.

It has a 13-inch Dolby Vision 2K display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It has 100% sRGB for clarity and color accuracy. It also comes in touch display options.

This notebook also has four speakers with Dolby Atmos support for immersive sound. It also has four 360-degree microphones to ensure you are loud and clear during virtual meetings.

The ThinkPad X1 Nano starts at US$ 1,399. It is expected to be available Q4 of 2020.

Honor Watch GS Pro now available with two new color options

Honor has aggressively launched new wearables to boost its ecosystem of products and there’s no stopping. The company announced the Watch GS Pro a few weeks ago, alongside the Honor Watch ES. The former is now up for purchase and comes along with two new color options dubbed — Camo Blue and Camo Grey Editions.

The Honor Watch GS is now available for purchase in France, UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain. It’s priced at €249.90 and can be ordered via Honor’s website. A limited time offer entitles you to a 20 percent discount on the total price if purchased before the end of September.

Coming to the watch, it has a 1.4-inch AMOLED display, a Kirin A1 chipset, GPS support, and multiple fitness modes. Most importantly, the watch’s body is designed for rough usage and features MIL-STD 810G-rated build. It can withstand shocks, high thermals, and repel water.

The Honor Watch GS Pro’s prime selling point is its 25-day battery life. Unlike the Apple Watch, Honor has focused on fitness and aims to deliver a consistent experience that doesn’t need you to be stuck to a charging wire.

The watch can be paired with Android or iOS and gets a host of fitness tracking systems. In the background, the heart rate scanner is always working and a SpO2 scanner is also included.

It’s preloaded with multi-skiing modes as well as provides outdoor information such as sunrise and sunset times, moon and tidal phases, and bad weather alerts. Further, you’ll get 100 workout modes, including 15 professional and 85 customized modes.
