The instax mini Link lets you print photos from your smartphone

Time to print your Instagram photos!

Published

on

Earlier, Fujifilm has just launched a worldwide campaign with the catchphrase “Don’t just take, give.” The aim of the campaign is to encourage users to share their prints with loved ones.

Following up on the campaign, the Japanese company announces the launch of instax mini Link, a portable, compact printer of Instax photos.

The instax mini Link lets you transfer photos from your smartphone through a dedicated app via Bluetooth connection. The app lets you do basic editing such as rotating, adjusting brightness, and the application of a filter. The printer prints quickly, with an average speed of about 12 seconds.

Additionally, it supports continuous printing up to 100 pictures on a single charge. If you’re feeling creative, the dedicated app has a variety of frame designs and collage layouts for your prints.

Lots of fun features for you to enjoy

It has fun features such as “Video Print” function which lets you scroll through video frames, allowing you to choose the best moment to print. There’s also “Match Test” which examines your compatibility with a friend or someone special. The results are shown after the picture is printed.

To see the results, you must perform a “Quick Diagnosis” or use the “Precision Diagnosis” function, which involves a question and answer portion.

On the other hand, the instax mini Link isn’t just for one person to enjoy. Through “Party Print,” the device can connect up to five smartphones to the app.

The printer can receive pictures from each device to combine into one instax print. There’s also a “Surprise Mode” where no one knows the photos that were sent and what the final print would look like.

More than just a smartphone printer

The instax mini Link has a built-in sensor, too. You can use it as a remote control for your smartphone’s camera, and print multiple copies through the printer’s button at the center.

On the flip side, it’s not just smartphones that can connect with the printer. Through the Fujifilm Camera Remote app, the printer can receive pictures directly from Fujifilm’s digital cameras.

The Fujifilm instax mini Link is priced at PhP 6,999 (US$ 135). It will be available in three colors: Ash White, Dusky Pink, and Dark Denim.

Unboxing the Galaxy A80 BLACKPINK Edition

It’s not the BLACKPINK accessories we’ve seen before

Published

on

Earlier this year, Samsung showcased the Galaxy A80 in Bangkok, Thailand. Adding more to their surprise, popular K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK performed on stage. Right after the event, we’ve seen BLACKPINK merchandise and accessories to spruce up your phone.

A few months later, rumors circulated about a special edition of Galaxy A80. This proved to be true when BLACKPINK unboxed their own Galaxy A80 BLACKPINK Edition. Finally arriving in more countries (and in our hands), we’ve finally unboxed this fabulous limited edition box.

Originally, this bundle came in a plain, boring black box. When you open it, you’ll first see BLACKPINK’s Kill This Love album in the flesh, containing a photo book, CD, sticker set, random photo cards, and more. Then, you’ll be greeted with another black box containing the real BLACKPINK Special Edition box… in pink.

You can see its logo placed in an emblem in the middle, surrounded by an intricately-detailed color-shifting design depending on the viewing angle.

When you open the box, you’ll be greeted with signatures from your favorite girls. You’ll also see a double-decked tray containing the Galaxy A80, Galaxy Buds, and Galaxy Watch Active.

The box indeed felt special. The tray holding the boxes for the phone, buds, and the watch is placed in a subtle-looking pink gradient.

Taking everything out of the box, the whole set is a treat for Blinks. Who wouldn’t want to use a BLACKPINK-themed smartphone, earbuds, and smartwatch?

Galaxy A80

Of course, the phone is your usual Samsung Galaxy A80, only made better by the black and pink motif.

But it’s not the only thing that makes this phone special. The Galaxy A80 BLACKPINK Edition contains exclusive themes and stickers that will surely delight your senses. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will always be on your hands to greet you, whenever you pick up your phone.

Galaxy Watch Active

The Galaxy Watch Active, on the other hand, comes in black with a pink strap. When you turn it on, BLACKPINK’s logo will show up. Its interface and watch face comes in black and pink, as well.

If you’re concerned with your #OOTD, make sure to wear black and pair both the smartwatch and the buds as an accessory.

Galaxy Buds

Among the three, the Galaxy Buds is my favorite. It’s hard not to love it when it’s looking sleek in black with a printed BLACKPINK logo in pink and a subtle, glossy Samsung logo.

When you pop it open, it’s even more amazing. While the exterior is black and tough-looking, the interior is pink. It’s just like how we always put up a strong facade, but we’re actually softies on the inside. Of course, the Galaxy Buds has the usual black and pink combination.

It fits nicely in your ear and produces amazing sound. Additionally, the buds are worth flaunting. It’s just beautiful!

Is this your GadgetMatch?

While it’s just the usual Galaxy A80, Galaxy Buds, and Galaxy Watch Active painted with BLACKPINK all over, this is definitely a Blink’s GadgetMatch.

It has a powerful smartphone with a rotating camera and accessories like the Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Buds that lets them stay connected and play BLACKPINK’s music to their heart’s content.

For only PhP 49,990 (US$ 967), it’s a tad expensive but fans won’t surely mind the price. After all, we all love to shell out money for something that we love, and it’s a price we’re willing to pay no matter how much it cost.

UNIQLO will now let you design and print your own shirt in-store

Got a design in mind, yet?

Published

on

As part of a series of new offerings for its first store anniversary, the UNIQLO Manila Global Flagship Store at Glorietta 5 (FYI: it’s the biggest in Southeast Asia) opened a digital t-shirt design and printing service exclusively offered at this branch. Basically, you can now design your own UNIQLO shirt or tote bag.

Officially called, UTme!, it’s an extension of the original UT line which offers graphic shirts from various artists and brands such as Nintendo and Marvel. The UTme! section will not be hard to miss and designing your shirt or tote is incredibly easy. Tablets are provided beside the printer and a custom app will lead you through the process. You can choose from an existing design or channel your inner artist and design your own. You can use your own photos, add texts and effects, or create something entirely from scratch. The app then sends it to the printer and then voila! You have your very own, one-of-a-kind, UNIQLO shirt.

The company has always been a propagator for homegrown talent. For this new service, they partnered with 10 local artists for a new collection, the #UTmeArtPH. These local artists were given the theme, “Future”, and were tasked to create designs using this theme in mind. With this, UNIQLO wishes to “inspire hope” and celebrate “the restless optimism of the Philippines”. Some of the local artists included in this collection are Manix Abrera, Rob Cham, Soleil Ignacio, Auggie Fontanilla and more.

The UTme! counter can be found on the second floor of the UNIQLO Flagship mall at Glorietta 5, Makati City, Philippines. Each personalized t-shirt is priced at PhP 990.
