Xiaomi has launched the REDMI Note 17 Series in Singapore. The lineup has four models, including the first-ever REDMI Note Pro Max. It includes the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 17 5G, and REDMI Note 17. The series focuses on battery life, durability, and long-term reliability.

Price and availability in Singapore

The REDMI Note 17 Series is available through mi.com, official Xiaomi stores on Shopee and Lazada, Xiaomi Stores, and partner stores. Pre-orders start August 27 at 8PM SGT and run until September 2. First sales begin September 3 and run until September 30, 2026.

REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G leads the lineup

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is the top model. It introduces a 10,000mAh battery. Xiaomi says it is the largest smartphone battery it has ever offered. The phone supports 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse charging.

Xiaomi says the phone can provide up to three days of battery life. It can also provide a full day of use after 20 minutes of charging.

The Pro Max has a 6.83-inch 1.5K display. It reaches up to 3,500 nits peak brightness and supports a 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform. It also supports up to 24GB of RAM through Memory extension.

The phone also gets Xiaomi HyperAI, Google Gemini, and Circle to Search with Google. It supports 4K 30fps video recording, Professional Video mode, and Live Moment. It also offers several AI-powered photo editing tools.

The Pro Max carries REDMI Titan Quality. Xiaomi says it has TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification for drop, water, and battery performance. Its 10,000mAh battery uses 16% silicon content. Xiaomi says it can retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles.
The Pro Max comes in Cloud Blush, Purple, and Black. Cloud Blush uses a photochromic back cover. It shifts from cloud white to a warm pink-orange tone under UV light.

REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G focuses on durability

The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G also focuses on durability. It carries TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification and features REDMI Titan Structure. Xiaomi says the Pro models can survive drops from up to three meters onto granite surfaces. They also use Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Both Pro models have IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. They also passed a 2-meter, 72-hour water-resistance test. The phones introduce Underwater Mode for the first time. Wet Touch Technology 2.0 keeps touch input responsive around water, oil, foam, and sweat.

The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G has an 8,340mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge. It uses a 6.83-inch display with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. The panel also has 1.5K resolution and a 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate.
It comes in Sky Blue, Purple, and Black. The 8GB+256GB model costs SGD 599 at RRP and SGD 519 during the promotional period. The online-exclusive 6GB+256GB model drops from SGD 549 to SGD 499.

REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 round out the series

The REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 target users who want the REDMI Note experience at a lower price. Both models feature 7,700mAh batteries and 45W turbo charging. They also have TÜV SÜD 5-star Battery Performance Certification.

Both models use larger 6.99-inch displays. Xiaomi also brings Google Gemini and Circle to Search with Google across the entire series. All four models support dual-video recording.
The REDMI Note 17 5G comes in Celestial Purple and Sky Teal. Its 6GB+256GB configuration has an RRP of SGD 449. Its promotional price is SGD 399. It also comes with free REDMI Buds 8 during the promotional period.

The REDMI Note 17 comes in 6GB+256GB and online-exclusive 6GB+128GB configurations. Their promotional prices are SGD 349 and SGD 319, respectively.

Across the lineup, Xiaomi promises up to six years of security updates. Selected models also get up to six years of battery health. The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G gets a six-year like-new software experience.

PlayStation is expanding its audio lineup with the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, its first wireless speakers developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The speakers will launch in Southeast Asia starting November 12, 2026, with pre-orders opening September 2.

The Pulse Elevate speakers are designed for desktop gaming on PS5, PC, and Mac, while also supporting portable use with the PlayStation Portal remote player and smartphones. They combine planar magnetic drivers, built-in woofers, and PlayStation Link wireless connectivity for low-latency, lossless audio.

Each speaker uses a studio-inspired planar magnetic driver to deliver sound across the audible spectrum. Built-in woofers add richer bass, while the speakers can enhance positional audio in PS5 games that support Tempest 3D AudioTech.

The right speaker also has a built-in microphone with AI-enhanced noise rejection. This allows users to handle voice chat without wearing a headset while helping filter out unwanted background noise.

Designed for gaming and beyond

Pulse Elevate uses PlayStation Link for ultra-low-latency wireless audio with compatible devices, including the PS5, PC, Mac, and PlayStation Portal. The speakers also support Bluetooth, allowing users to listen to audio from a Bluetooth device while using PlayStation Link for another connected device.

A PlayStation Link USB adapter is included and works with USB-C ports. The speakers also feature built-in rechargeable batteries, letting users take them on the go. Charging docks are included for returning to a desktop setup.

Users can adjust the speakers’ volume directly and position them horizontally or vertically. PS5 and PC users can also customize EQ, sidetone, volume, and microphone mute settings through system menus.

Pulse Elevate will be available in Midnight Black and White.

The REDMI Note 17 Series will follow a six-year “Built for Years” commitment covering battery longevity, security patch updates, and sustained smoothness. Xiaomi notes that the specific coverage will vary depending on the model and market.

The company is also introducing the first Pro Max model in the REDMI Note lineup. Xiaomi says the model will bring “max design, max quality, and max experience” to the series.

Durability will also play a major role. Xiaomi says the REDMI Note 17 Series has received TÜV SÜD certifications covering battery performance, drop resistance, and water resistance. The tests aim to reflect real-world use rather than laboratory performance alone.

Bigger battery, stronger durability

The series will feature Xiaomi’s largest-ever smartphone battery. It uses silicon-carbon technology and is designed to balance daily endurance, long-term cycle life, safety, and fast charging.

Xiaomi rates the battery for 1,600 charging cycles while retaining more than 80 percent capacity. The company says this is designed to support six years of reliable performance under demanding daily use.

The phones are also designed to better handle everyday accidents. Xiaomi says they use 17 custom waterproof components and undergo 10 airtightness tests. The devices are certified for 3-meter drop resistance as well.

Xiaomi says this focus is particularly relevant to mid-range smartphones. As consumers hold onto their devices for longer, the company believes longevity is becoming just as important as performance, cameras, and design.
