Spider-Man Spider-Verse

Webheads rejoice! At CinemaCon 2025, Sony Pictures unveiled the release date of a couple Spider-Man flicks that many fans of the wall-crawler have been waiting for. These are the latest installments in the MCU Spider-Man movies and the final installment of the Spider-Verse trilogy.

Brand New Day

First, there’s Spider-Man 4 or more appropriately, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film is slated to be released on July 31, 2026. That’s three months after the showing of Avengers: Doomsday which recently teased its cast in a 5-hour livestream showing chairs.

Spidey fans will be familiar with the “Brand New Day” name as it is an infamous time in the comic books where Peter Parker sacrificed his marriage with Mary Jane Watson to save Aunt May. It’s doubtful the movie will follow the comic book to the T. Perhaps the adaptation will be more akin to what Marvel is doing with Dare Devil: Born Again. It’s somewhat of soft reboot for the TV Series and a loose adaptation of the comic book.

Attendees of the announcement said Tom Holland who plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the MCU, showed up via a video recording while filming another project. He only mentioned the name of the new Spider-Man movie and nothing more, playing on Holland’s penchant for spoiling things.

Beyond the Spider-verse

This one gave people a real scare. For a while, we didn’t hear anything about when Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-verse will come out. It gave people pause because it’s technically part 2 of Across the Spider-verse that released in 2023. Thankfully, those fears have been waived away. The release date for the animated flick has been set for June 4, 2027.

This was also announced at CinemaCon 2025. The official Spider-verse Instagram account also showed some screens from the movie. It features Miles Morales, alternate universe Prowler Miles, and Spider-Gwen.
