Vivo V9 AI Face Beauty: What can it do?

The secret to perfect selfies

Published

on

The V9 is Vivo’s latest smartphone release. The sleek handset sports a notched, borderless screen and a Snapdragon processor that makes it a very capable device. Yes, folks, great for your everyday social media needs! But, what else can this phone do?

Vivo’s slogan isn’t “Perfect Shot, Perfect View” for nothing! The dual rear cameras on this thing are pretty capable and you can even shoot in Pro Mode. That means you get the freedom to change camera settings as you take those photos.

But, what if you want the perfect photo without the fuss of changing all those settings? Don’t worry, Vivo’s got you.

This is where the AI Face Beauty mode comes in.

Simply tap on the Beauty Mode Settings, pick AI, and you’re all set to take the best-possible selfie without even needing to change settings. Artificial intelligence on this mode does the camera adjustments and all that’s left for you to do is strike your best pose.

All that’s left is editing! The V9’s built-in tools can take care of filters…

… and even more beauty mode tweaking.

And those AI camera adjustments? It’s based on whatever, or whomever is in front of the camera. Yep, the phone will recognize the selfie subject’s age, gender, and even skin tone. Using data gathered from one million selfie samples (that’s a lot of selfies 😱), the phone adjusts.

So yes, the camera can tell if you’re a dude and it will know not to airbrush your features too much. Expect every shot to be the “Perfect Shot,” even when you’re a guy taking a selfie!

Taken with the Vivo V9, this photo is an example of just how fresh and natural your selfies can look. Think of all the selfie possibilities!

A colored, Bluetooth-enabled Tamagotchi is coming

Still very cute!

Published

The cutest 90s pet is back and they’re in full color!

The Tamagotchi Go is a refreshed version of our favorite digital pet. Available in glitter cases and now fitted with colored screens, the 2019 Tamagotchi hopes to capture this new generation the same way they did ours: Through adorable virtual critters!

You still take care of an incessantly needy pet but this device now allows you to connect with other users via Bluetooth so that your Tamagotchi can make friends, marry, and even have more Tama babies. And, good news, there will even be a new Tamagotchi Hotel feature which will babysit your pet on days you can’t just deal — that means less dead pets! (90s kids will know 😅)

Additionally,  there’s an app, to be released later on, that will allow users to connect to other Tamagotchi worldwide.

Despite the advancements, the Tamagotchi Go will still be a straightforward device which runs on AAA batteries and needs no connection to your smartphone or the internet to run. The new Bandai toys will be onsale starting July 28 and it will retail for US$ 60 a piece.

Louis Vuitton put screens on their iconic bags because why not

Literally seeing the future

Published

on

Not the type to shy away from all things extra, Louis Vuitton has decided that the future of fashion entails screens on designer bags.

Unveiled at the Cruise 2020 collection show held at JFK’s TWA Flight Center last week, the prototypes aptly titled “Canvass of the Future” featured flexible screens on classic LV bags.

Two bags were shown off on the runway with flashing screens — the ultimate high-tech arm candy.

Now, dear reader, if you’re an avid follower of the folding screen trend, you’d know that this isn’t the first time we’re seeing those screens on a purse. Early this year at CES, we saw this purse from Royale — the same brand responsible for the very first functioning folding smartphone.

It comes as no surprise then that the same screens are used on the Louis Vuitton bags.

Here’s a closer look at the two-paneled Speedy in all its AMOLED screen glory.

CRUISE 2020 MONITOR BAGS by @nicolasghesquiere HI guy, it’s MKBHDLV back at it again. We saw the Fibre Optics in the last men’s show (more info on that real soon BTW) and now this! This one wasn’t the only one in the show. There was a bucket bag with screens on both sides as well. If it ain’t OLED, count me out smh 😤 ⁣• • •⁣ ⁣#louisvuitton #lvmen #louisvuittonlover #lv #monogram #dlouisv #luxury #highend #highendfashion #fashion #louisvuittonjapan #lvsingapore #louisvuittonmalaysia #ルイヴィトン #louisvuittonparis #louisvuittonbags #louisvuittonph #lv2019⁣ #lv2020 #lvcruise20 #lvcruise #nicolasghesquiere ⁣⁣ ⁣Prices and information are all subject to change and should be treated as estimates and guesses.⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣Copyright © 2018 by LOUIS VUITTON⁣ ⁣All rights reserved.⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣We are not affiliated, associated, authorised, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Louis Vuitton Malletier, or any of its subsidiaries or its affiliates. As of now, there is no news on other functionalities, although some on social media have claimed that there are touchscreen capabilities on the bags. Pricing also hasn’t been unveiled although you can bet your bottom dollar it won’t be cheap as LV bags and flexy screens, on their own, can both fetch a pretty penny individually.

CRUISE 2020 by @nicolasghesquiere Here are the other bags from the show. The Skyscraper bags are cute. Also, here’s the other *touchscreen* bag. One in the front, on in the back. So it’s pretty much just 2 iPads glued on to a Bent Box it seems. Shout out to the girl @vickyyzzzz for pulling through ♥ ⁣• • •⁣ ⁣#louisvuitton #lvmen #louisvuittonlover #lv #monogram #dlouisv #luxury #highend #highendfashion #fashion #louisvuittonjapan #lvsingapore #louisvuittonmalaysia #ルイヴィトン #louisvuittonparis #louisvuittonbags #louisvuittonph #lv2019⁣ #lv2020 #lvcruise20 #lvcruise #nicolasghesquiere ⁣⁣ ⁣Prices and information are all subject to change and should be treated as estimates and guesses.⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣Copyright © 2018 by LOUIS VUITTON⁣ ⁣All rights reserved.⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣We are not affiliated, associated, authorised, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Louis Vuitton Malletier, or any of its subsidiaries or its affiliates. One thing is for sure, though: The future of handbags is bright — well, as bright as the AMOLED screens.

The Moment Pebble is the newest mindfulness tool

Yes, it’s a smart pebble that glows

Published

on

There’s an ongoing crowdfunding effort for a pebble. Yes, you read right.

This is the Moment Pebble and though it looks like an unassuming rock, it’s actually a tool designed to help you be more mindful.

The premise is simple: The pebble serves as a physical reminder to meditate. And when you do, it will guide you through that meditation with a light sequence you can follow.

Mindfulness meditation helps simply because taking off a few seconds away from “autopilot mode” interrupts stress building up and allows you a quick reset throughout the day.

Unattached to any phone or app, the pebble is pretty straightforward to use and you can do so without the disruption of phone alerts. Flipping it activates each moment and it will proceed to a 30-second sequence for a calming breathing exercise.

The Moment Pebble comes with a Moment Book that lists a number of curated scripts, access to the Moment community and exclusive content, plus the wireless charging stone dock. Each pebble will retail for US$ 77 which is quite expensive for a rock, but pretty much worth it if it results to your peace of mind. The pebbles ships this September.

Check out their crowdfunding page here.
