The ASUS ZenFone AR has many firsts, making it almost seem like a working prototype, rather than a phone you’d use as a daily driver. We got our curious hands on it to find out for sure.

Look at all its pioneering features: It’s the first smartphone with both Google Tango AR and Daydream VR compatibility, and an almost unnecessarily excessive 8GB of memory. This is also the first ZenFone with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

It’s certainly a breath of fresh, innovative air after all the ZenFones that felt like they just followed established blueprints.
