Following the regional launch in Bangkok earlier this month, the new Moto Z2 Play has officially landed in the Philippines.
Motorola’s latest addition to its modular smartphone line fills in the gap while the company preps its next flagship phone. The Z2 Play takes off from where its predecessor was placed in the midrange segment. Specs aside, the phone looks and feels like the top dog of the company.
The phone has a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display and it’s powered by a Snapdragon 626 processor. Memory is at 4GB while storage is at 64GB with support for microSD card expansion. Camera-wise, it sports a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie shooter.
The main feat of the Z series is support for Moto Mods, Motorola’s modular approach. Unfortunately, the new Moto Mods were a no-show during the local launch, but we’re told it’s coming later this year.
The Moto Z2 Play will retail for PhP 24,999 starting July 21 in Motorola outlets and authorized retailers in the Philippines. It’s also available for purchase online through Lazada Philippines.
