Remember the Sony Xperia XZ1 that was launched in IFA last month?

Let me refresh your memory: It’s the latest Sony release with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, and water and dust resistance. It’s a definite flagship phone powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage.

Sony Xperia XZ1 3D face scanning

The Xperia XZ1 has a 19-megapixel main shooter plus a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. Like the previously released Xperia XZ Premium, it can record videos at 960 frames per second.

Perhaps most notable, though, is this smartphone’s capability to 3D scan faces.

The Xperia XZ1 will retail at PhP 39,990 in the Philippines starting October 13, 2017.

The Xperia XA1 Plus, Sony’s midrange smartphone, will be available in the country next month.

Update: The Sony Xperia XA1 Plus will have a retail price of PhP 16,990 in the Philippines. It’ll be available in stores starting November 10.
