The Windows 11 era is here. After years of living with Windows 10, the new update is coming to bring Windows users to a new generation. And, with the new update, we’ll also see a new generation of laptops and notebooks which will come with the operating system. Much like its rivals, Honor has debuted its upcoming MagicBook lineup with built-in Windows 11.

Honor MagicBook V 14

Starting off the new generation is the Honor MagicBook V 14. The first Honor notebook powered by Intel’s Evo platform, the MagicBook V 14 sports the 11th-generation Intel Core i7-11390H processor, GeForce MX450 GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 512GB PCIe SSD of internal storage.

The notebook has a 14.2-inch LTPS touchscreen display and puts out images in 2520 x 1680 resolution. It also features a dual 5-megapixel camera. For power users, the laptop’s design has a dual pipe arrangement and dual heat fans.

The MagicBook V 14 will come in Blue Hour, Space Gray, and Mystic Silver. It retails for CNY 6,199.

Honor MagicBook 16/16 Pro

Though the MagicBook 16 has a similar design, the more premium notebook series packs in more hardware for hardier users. The notebook runs on a 144Hz display, the AMD Ryzen 5000 series, up to a GeForce RTX 3050 series, 16GB DDR4 of RAM, 512 PCIe NVMe SSD of internal storage.

The Honor MagicBook 16 series sells for CNY 6,499.

Honor Pad 7

Honor rounded out its latest products with a new tablet. Running on MagicUI 5.0, the Honor Pad 7 sports a 6nm processor, a 10.4-inch 90Hz screen, and four speakers.

It will sell for CNY 1,999.

There’s been much ado about the NVIDIA RTX Spark. By now, you’ve probably heard a lot about the upcoming reinvention of PCs. But, as a regular consumer, it’s hard to visualize just how this revolution looks like. Thankfully, in NVIDIA’s demo suites, a few manufacturers got to showcase their take on an RTX Spark notebook. And all of them are coming out in the fall.

Unfortunately, none of these brands could share comprehensive details about their laptops beyond a promise for raw power. All of these models aren’t the final version yet.

However, just from what we can tell, these notebooks do feel different from the standard fare of laptops today. For one, they are deceptively heavier. Though all of the OEMs promise a much thinner profile, they’re either packing a lot of tech inside or are using denser materials for their chassis. But again, these are engineering units, so who knows how heavy these things will actually be?

Secondly, based on NVIDIA’s demos, they can do a lot of heavy lifting. NVIDIA says that these superchips are meant for developers and creators, but gamers will also find joy in their performance. DLSS 4.5, in particular, feels like a true revolution in terms of graphics.

Thankfully, fall isn’t too far away. If you can wait, the next evolution of PCs is just around the corner.
