JBL’s new speakers will ~literally~ turn your house into a club

JBL just turned up the volume (literally).

At the JBL Experience, the global audio brand unveiled its latest lineup of party speakers and portable essentials.

The launch event was a full-sensory celebration, with surprise appearances by Michael Sager and Jackie Gonzaga and a genre battle between DJs that had the crowd vibing all night.

It’s party time!

JBL launched its most powerful battery-powered speaker yet. The PartyBox 520 is built for large gatherings, featuring a splash-proof IPX4 design, a rugged handle, and sturdy wheels so you can roll the party anywhere.

It offers up to 15 hours of playtime, fast-charging, and replaceable batteries to keep the music going nonstop. With AI Sound Boost and Auracast, you get crystal-clear audio and the ability to sync with other JBL speakers wirelessly.

JBL also unveiled the PartyBox Encore 2 and Encore Essential 2, which pack powerful performance in a more portable form.

With Bluetooth 5.4, ergonomic handles, and long-lasting battery life, they’re made for music lovers who are always on the go. The Encore 2 even includes wireless mics for karaoke battles, while the Essential 2 brings dynamic lighting to every beat.

A quick 10-minute charge gives you up to 80 minutes of playtime.

The JBL PartyBox 520 retails for PhP 42,999. Meanwhile, the PartyBox Encore 2 is priced at PhP 24,999 while the Encore Essential 2 comes at a more accessible price tag at PhP 18,999.

Small size, huge sound

JBL has also unveiled the Flip 7. It has been upgraded with an interchangeable finger loop, carabiner hook, and IP68 water and dust resistance.

Expect deeper bass, clearer highs, and up to 16 hours of playtime with Playtime Boost. It also supports Auracast for multi-speaker pairing and is powered by Bluetooth 5.4 for smoother wireless streaming.

Then, there’s the Charge 6 that takes versatility up a notch. With a detachable handle strap, AI Sound Boost, an upgraded woofer, and Auracast pairing, this speaker means business.

It offers an incredible 28 hours of battery life, plus it doubles as a power bank to charge your phone while playing your favorite tracks. Ideal for all-day, all-night playlists.

The JBL Flip 7 retails for PhP 7,999 while the JBL Charge 6 retails for PhP 10,999. Both units comes in different colorways, such as Black, Blue, Funky Black, Pink, Purple, Red, Sand, Squad, and White.

Wake up better

One of the things that really piqued our interest is the JBL Horizon 3. More than an alarm clock, it helps optimize your sleep cycle and wake routine with ambient sunrise alarms, ocean wave soundscapes, and intuitive lighting.

It’s also a powerful Bluetooth speaker with JBL stereo sound, dual passive radiators, FM radio, and now works with the JBL One App for easier control over alarms, EQ settings, and light modes. Designed with minimalism in mind, it’s a sleek and smart addition to any nightstand.

Epson has officially launched the Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B, its latest all-in-home home entertainment solution.

This new offering combines large-scale 4K projection, AI-powered image processing, and integrated Sound by Bose speakers.

It is designed for consumers seeking a bigger, more immersive viewing experience without compromising their living spaces.

The EH-LS970B can project 4K (8.3 million pixels) content from 80 to 150 inches while positioned just inches from the wall.

Its ultra-short-throw design (0.16 ratio) removes the need to mount a large display or position a conventional projector across the room, giving homeowners greater flexibility in how they use their space.

It has a 3LCD laser projection system for up to 4,000 lumens of color and white brightness, as well as a contrast ratio of more than 5,000,000:1.

In addition, the projector features upgrades across image processing and audio while retaining a compact, all-in-one approach to home entertainment.

At the heart of Epson’s EH-LS970B is a new AI-powered TV chip that analyses content in real time. This automatically optimizes the image for each scene.

AI Super Resolution enhances sharpness and fine details, while AI Picture Quality automatically adjusts the image based on what is being displayed.

Features like Dynamic Colour Booster, Local Contrast and De-contour Processing further optimize color, contrast, and gradients as well.

The visual quality is complemented by an integrated 20W 2.1 channel Sound by Bose speaker system.

This delivers room-filling audio with deep bass, without requiring a separate speaker setup. Bluetooth mode also allows the projector to function simply as an audio system when the display isn’t in use.

The projector comes with Google TV built-in and supports Google Cast and voice control.

Xiaomi continues to expand its smart home ecosystem, launching the new Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2026 Series and two new Mijia washers.

Xiaomi’s latest entertainment lineup is available in sizes from 55 to 98 inches. They are built around Xiaomi’s QD-Mini LED technology to deliver deep blacks, vivid colors, and high contrast.

TVs under the lineup feature up to 512 independent backlight zones and 120Hz Game Boost mode. Meanwhile, the 85-inch and 98-inch models offer native 144Hz refresh rates and up to 288Hz under Game Boost with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).

Across the entire series are 94% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1.07 billion colors, HDR10+, HLG, and Filmmaker Mode, as well as Dolby Vision. The visual experience is complemented by Dolby Audio, DTS:X, and Dolby Atmos on the larger models.

Smarter Mijia washers

On the smart laundry care end are two new washers: the Mijia Front Load Washer 9kg and Mijia Top Load Washer 13kg.

The first offering combines a spacious drum with features designed for a more thorough and convenient washing.

The steam washing function achieves up to 99.99% bacterial removal. This washer can also be connected to the Xiaomi Home app for seamless management.

And for even larger laundry loads, there’s the Mijia Top Load Washer 13kg. It features a 4-stage 3D water flow for improved washing performance.

Users can also utilize 20-minute quick wash, tub cleaning, fabric softener support, and long-lasting fragrance care.
