Apple sets September 9 date for iPhone 17 event
Awe dropping
Apple just sent out invites for its fall keynote. The event kicks off on September 9, 2025, at 10AM PT (September 10, 1AM, GMT+8) inside the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park. The tagline this year is “Awe Dropping,” and yes, that all but confirms we’re about to meet the iPhone 17 series.
Apple’s September event is always its biggest stage of the year. Alongside the new iPhones, we may also see fresh Apple Watch models and maybe a new set of AirPods Pro. But make no mistake, the spotlight belongs to the iPhone.
What to expect from the iPhone 17 lineup
Apple may add a new iPhone 17 Air
The surprise of the lineup could be a new iPhone 17 Air. Leaks suggest Apple will bring back the ultra-thin form factor, with the Air measuring just 5.5 mm thick– its slimmest iPhone ever. Apple is said to use a titanium-aluminum blend for strength and keep things minimal with a single 48MP rear camera. Under the hood, the Air could run on the A19 chipwith 12GB of RAM.
The Pro models take the big leaps
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will carry the biggest upgrades. The Pro Max may debut a new design with thinner bezels, a titanium body, and a micro-lens OLED display that delivers higher brightness without draining battery. Both Pros are expected to run the A19 Pro chip with 12GB of RAM, and Apple might finally unlock reverse wireless charging–so you could top up AirPods or even an Apple Watch by placing them on the back of the phone.
Cameras get sharper across the board
Pro models should pack a triple-lens setup, all at 48MP, with a telephoto system rumored to reach 8x optical zoom. A new 24MP selfie camera could come to every iPhone 17 model.
Battery life and charging see changes
The Air may have a smaller 2,800–3,000 mAh battery, but it’s expected to use high-density cells to keep up with daily use. The Pro models are tipped to introduce faster wireless charging alongside that reverse charging feature.
Pricing and release stay familiar
The iPhone 17 Air may start around $899–$949, while the Pro Max could climb to $1,499. Apple is likely to open preorders on September 12, with the phones landing in stores on September 19.
Looking beyond the iPhone 17
Apple isn’t stopping at this year’s lineup. Reports say a foldable iPhone is on track for 2026, with a special curved-glass model lined up for 2027 to mark the iPhone’s 20th anniversary.
What to look forward to?
Apple’s September keynote always makes noise, but this one feels bigger. The rumored iPhone 17 Air could bring back the thrill of holding an impossibly thin iPhone, while the Pro models may finally deliver on long-awaited features like reverse wireless charging and stronger zoom. September 9 is shaping up to be a defining moment in the iPhone story.

Titan Toughness takes center stage!
Being a Spartan athlete for five years has taught me that endurance isn’t just about physical strength; it’s about the mental grit to keep moving when your body begs you to stop.
In this world, “toughness” becomes more than just a marketing buzzword. Now, it’s a requirement for survival. That’s why the partnership between Spartan Race Philippines and the REDMI Note 15 Series feels like a shared philosophy.

For capturing the raw, unpolished triumph of the finish line; for surviving the grit of the course so you can focus on the next hurdle; and for finding the device at the heart of the festival area and the winner’s circle, mirroring the resilience of the athletes themselves.
