Apple has launched the Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, and Watch SE 3 alongside the latest iPhones.

Preorders are now available for all three new watches with availability in stores starting on September 19.

The new Apple Watch Series 11 features groundbreaking new health insights, as well as longer battery life, 5G connectivity, and and a more durable cover glass.

Among the standout new features on the Watch 11 is its possible hypertension detection. This can alert users if signs of chronic high blood pressure (or hypertension) are detected.

The Apple Watch uses data from the optical heart sensor to analyze how a user’s blood vessels respond to the beats of the heart.

This algorithm works passively in the background, reviewing data over 30-day periods. It will then notify users if there are consistent signs of hypertension.

The feature was developed with advanced machine learning and training data from multiple studies totaling over 100,000 participants.

Apple expects the new feature to help notify over a million people with undiagnosed hypertension within the first year. Clearance for hypertension notifications from the FDA and other regulators is likewise expected soon.

Moreover, the feature will be available in more than 15 countries and regions, including the United States and Europe. Through watchOS 26, hypertension notifications will eventually be available on Apple Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2.

Sleep Score

The Apple Watch Series 11 also introduces Sleep Score with watchOS 26. This allows users to track sleep with powerful sensors.

Several data are captured, including heart rate, wrist temperature, blood oxygen, and respiratory rate. This feature can even discover possible sleep apnea.

Sleep Score helps track each of these categories to assign transparent and easy-to-understand metrics.

After each night, sleep score provides an overall score and classification in the Sleep app, motivating users to develop better sleeping habits.

The Apple Watch Series 11 starts at US$ 399.

Apple Watch Ultra 3: Most advanced Apple Watch

Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 delivers expanded health, fitness, safety, and connectivity features.

It combines being a powerful sports watch, an elegant smartwatch, and a comprehensive health companion.

The watch now supports built-in two-way satellite communications. This allows users to text emergency services, message loved ones, and share location even when they’re off the grind.

Users can access Emergency SOS via satellite to text emergency services and notify contacts with a few taps. Find My via satellite also sends location once every 15 minutes to contacts previously added to Find My.

In addition, if the Watch Ultra 3 detects a severe car crash or hard fall and the user is unresponsive while off the grid, it can automatically send situation and location information to emergency services.

The watch also features the largest screen on any Apple Watch with LTPO3 and wide-angle OLED. Such materials partly also allow for an extended battery life of up to 42 hours (72 hours in low power mode).

Like the Watch Series 11, the Watch Ultra 3 also features hypertension notifications and sleep score.

Upgrades in fitness features will also benefit runners, cyclists, swimmers, hikers, divers, and golfers.

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 starts at US$ 799 and is available in natural and black titanium.

Apple Watch SE 3: Numerous upgrades, incredible value

Lastly, the Apple Watch SE 3 introduces several upgrades across health capabilities and more aspects.

With an S10 chip, the Watch SE 3 now features Always-On display, faster on-device Siri, and even media playback through its speakers.

It also has up to an 18-hour battery life and charges up to 50% faster than the previous model. The cover glass is four times more resistant to cracks too, thanks to Ion-X glass.

The wearable now likewise features sleep score, as well as wrist temperature sensing, sleep apnea notifications, and retrospective ovulation estimates. These features join the core set of health features available on the Watch SE 3.

The Apple Watch SE 3 starts at US$ 249.

Paddock Yoyo + Grand Paddock case

How extra are you as an Apple fan? No matter what you say, you’ll probably never be as extra as someone who buys a US$ 5,000 MagSafe charging case for their iPhone and Apple Watch. Hermès has just launched a series of leather chargers and cases specifically made for Apple fans.

Available now, Hermès has three types of MagSafe chargers for iPhone users. The cheapest one, the Paddock Solo, is a simple leather-bound puck that can charge a single device. The charger also has a braided 3.3ft USB cable. It costs an eye-watering US$ 1,250.

On the other hand, the Paddock Yoyo charger offers two charging zones for two devices simultaneously. Shaped like a yoyo (hence, the name), it allows users to roll the cable into a convenient stack. It costs US$ 1,750.

Finally, the Paddock Duo is a charging pad that allows for two devices simultaneously. It just doesn’t have a pocket for the cable. It likewise costs US$ 1,750.

Now, if you want to upgrade your pricey charging kit even further, Hermès has two cases for them: the Petit Paddock case and the Grand Paddock case.

The Petit Paddock case, as the name suggest, is a snug leather case that fits only the charger (and a brick, if bundled with the Yoyo). The charger and case combo will set you back by US$ 3,725 for the Solo, and US$ 4,225 for either the Duo or the Yoyo.

Alternatively, the Grand Paddock can fit much more but also costs a lot more. It costs US$ 4,650 for the Solo, and US$ 5,150 for the Duo or the Yoyo.

Of note, none of these come with a charging brick, so you’ll have to shell out a bit more to maximize the kit.
