Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 7 yesterday in New York City. It’s still big, but bolder and better in some areas than the previous model. And it’s curved, with two sheets of wraparound glass blending seamlessly into the metal frame. In short: It’s pretty awesome, and arguably Samsung’s best phone yet.

It will be widely available in the U.S. and across the world on August 19 for roughly $850 off-contract. If you live in the Philippines, you might be wondering when the Note 7 will be available and how much will it cost. Those are good questions to which we know the answers.

Our source, with information of the Philippine launch plans, said Samsung is bringing the new Note to the market on August 20, meaning the Philippines will be one of the first countries to get the device, which will retail for P39,990 locally. To be clear, that price is for the 64GB variant, as Samsung has decided to axe the 32GB base model.

That may be bad news for the Galaxy S7 edge, which has less to offer and currently occupies the same pricing tier on the Philippine market. Perhaps a price cut is in order, yeah?
