Unboxing the Galaxy A80 BLACKPINK Edition
It’s not the BLACKPINK accessories we’ve seen before
Earlier this year, Samsung showcased the Galaxy A80 in Bangkok, Thailand. Adding more to their surprise, popular K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK performed on stage. Right after the event, we’ve seen BLACKPINK merchandise and accessories to spruce up your phone.
A few months later, rumors circulated about a special edition of Galaxy A80. This proved to be true when BLACKPINK unboxed their own Galaxy A80 BLACKPINK Edition. Finally arriving in more countries (and in our hands), we’ve finally unboxed this fabulous limited edition box.
Originally, this bundle came in a plain, boring black box. When you open it, you’ll first see BLACKPINK’s Kill This Love album in the flesh, containing a photo book, CD, sticker set, random photo cards, and more. Then, you’ll be greeted with another black box containing the real BLACKPINK Special Edition box… in pink.
You can see its logo placed in an emblem in the middle, surrounded by an intricately-detailed color-shifting design depending on the viewing angle.
When you open the box, you’ll be greeted with signatures from your favorite girls. You’ll also see a double-decked tray containing the Galaxy A80, Galaxy Buds, and Galaxy Watch Active.
The box indeed felt special. The tray holding the boxes for the phone, buds, and the watch is placed in a subtle-looking pink gradient.
Taking everything out of the box, the whole set is a treat for Blinks. Who wouldn’t want to use a BLACKPINK-themed smartphone, earbuds, and smartwatch?
Galaxy A80
Of course, the phone is your usual Samsung Galaxy A80, only made better by the black and pink motif.
But it’s not the only thing that makes this phone special. The Galaxy A80 BLACKPINK Edition contains exclusive themes and stickers that will surely delight your senses. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will always be on your hands to greet you, whenever you pick up your phone.
Galaxy Watch Active
The Galaxy Watch Active, on the other hand, comes in black with a pink strap. When you turn it on, BLACKPINK’s logo will show up. Its interface and watch face comes in black and pink, as well.
If you’re concerned with your #OOTD, make sure to wear black and pair both the smartwatch and the buds as an accessory.
Galaxy Buds
Among the three, the Galaxy Buds is my favorite. It’s hard not to love it when it’s looking sleek in black with a printed BLACKPINK logo in pink and a subtle, glossy Samsung logo.
When you pop it open, it’s even more amazing. While the exterior is black and tough-looking, the interior is pink. It’s just like how we always put up a strong facade, but we’re actually softies on the inside. Of course, the Galaxy Buds has the usual black and pink combination.
It fits nicely in your ear and produces amazing sound. Additionally, the buds are worth flaunting. It’s just beautiful!
Is this your GadgetMatch?
While it’s just the usual Galaxy A80, Galaxy Buds, and Galaxy Watch Active painted with BLACKPINK all over, this is definitely a Blink’s GadgetMatch.
It has a powerful smartphone with a rotating camera and accessories like the Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Buds that lets them stay connected and play BLACKPINK’s music to their heart’s content.
For only PhP 49,990 (US$ 967), it’s a tad expensive but fans won’t surely mind the price. After all, we all love to shell out money for something that we love, and it’s a price we’re willing to pay no matter how much it cost.

Initially teased a month ago, the much-awaited BLACKPINK x Razer collab has finally been revealed for all the BLINKs to see (and purchase).
Hitting the ‘DEADLINE’
ICYMI, BLACKPINK (or K-Pop’s biggest female quartet composed of Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo) started their highly-anticipated ‘DEADLINE’ World Tour just last year.
