Serenity is GadgetMatch’s first wallpaper for 2019

Made by the same artist from the Philippines

GadgetMatch’s newest and first wallpaper for 2019 is here! Early in February, we tapped our Hang Loose wallpaper’s creator, Oliver James Simbulan, to lend us these beautiful architectural renders in time for the Samsung Galaxy S10 launch.

Entitled “Serenity,” these architectural renders reflect the artist’s love for beaches, palm trees, sunsets, and waves. The artist told GadgetMatch that it never fails to make him feel calm and at peace. His love for the tropics and summertime inspired him to render tropical-themed resort and villas.

These renders accompany the new premium-looking design of Samsung’s anniversary phone. When you’ve got a gorgeous phone, you got to pair it with a stunning wallpaper.

But of course, there are options to choose from!

‘Milestones’ celebrates GadgetMatch’s story and commitment

For years of covering technology

Published

on

It’s been five years since GadgetMatch was established. Founded on the premise of making life better and easier through technology, we’ve come a long way since then. We saw how technology plays a key role in shifting our lives. Even then, we’re still looking forward to what innovations tomorrow will bring.

To commemorate our journey in covering the latest news in technology, we tasked a Filipino artist to create a set of wallpapers entitled Milestones, reflecting our story.

Milestones: Peak

Peak symbolizes being on top of what we do; the pleasure of seeing a beautiful content created after an arduous journey. It emphasizes on the contentment we feel about our quality work and a metaphor for looking over the horizon; we won’t limit our creativity and will never stop innovating, just like technology.

Milestones: Passion

Passion is the inner fire inside us. There’s a burning desire we have from day one, and we never let it die because we stay committed to our vision and mission: Explaining technology in simple terms. While keeping up with technology can be exhausting, our passion burns stronger.

Milestones: Perception

Perception is a wallpaper that relies on the viewer’s perspective. It’s a reflection of people’s perception and our journey that we don’t share. Are we going up or going down? In reality, we’re all just going up, and the stairway symbolizes the little steps we take to achieve our goal. We’re not rushing, but we’re on our way. Help us achieve 1 million subscribers on YouTube!

One of the recent trends in the smartphone industry is the sudden increase in camera lenses. Just how many do we need, really? Since we don’t have an answer yet, the GadgetMatch team decided to have fun and create an AR filter out of it.

Introducing Camera Lens, our very first AR filter on Instagram Stories. This filter allows you to wear sunglasses made of camera lenses from popular smartphones. You can choose from different brands: Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung, Nokia, OnePlus, and Google.

How to try the filter

First, visit GadgetMatch’s profile (@gadgetmatch) on your Instagram app. Then, click the sparkling smiley icon beside IGTV. Afterward, click the “Camera Lens” featuring Vincenz Lee — one of our producers and the creative behind this filter.

When you finally try it, save the effect, upload it to your story and share it with your friends. Don’t forget to tag GadgetMatch so we can see how much you’re enjoying it!
