GadgetSnaps: OPPO Reno7 Series
Are the cameras really all that?
The Reno series has all been about its smartphone photography features. The OPPO Reno7 Series, consisting of the Reno7 5G and Reno7Z 5G, are no different.
Before we show you the sample photos we took, here’s a quick look at the camera hardware these two are packing.
Reno7 5G |
Reno7Z 5G |
64MP f/1.7 Main | 64MP f/1.7 Main |
8MP f/2.2 Ultra Wide | 2MP f/2.4 Macro |
2 MP f/2.4 Macro | 2MP f/2.4 Depth |
32MP f/2.4 Selfie | 16MP f/2.4 Selfie |
In terms of numbers, these are standard issues for midrangers. But of course, smartphone photography isn’t just hardware. Each brand applies their own take on computational or AI tech to produce stunning images for us to enjoy.
OPPO’s Reno series has consistently been one of the better midrangers when it comes to smartphone photography. The Reno7 series carries over a handful of software features from the Reno line as well. There’s Dual-View Video, AI Color Portrait, and more.
In particular, OPPO is hyping the portrait capabilities of the Reno 7 Series. So, that’s what we’ll take a look at first.
Portraits
Other Samples
Naturally, portraits aren’t the only things you can shoot using the fine cameras on both the Reno7 and Reno7Z. Here are a few other samples.
Indoor shots are always tricky to capture and pull-off. But the OPPO Reno7 5G and OPPO Reno7 Z 5G took these effortlessly.
How about outdoor shots?
It goes without saying, but the phones took fantastic images under natural light.
These are just a handful of shots we took during our time with both the Reno7 5G and Reno7 Z 5G. We’ve already showcased the many types of portrait shots you can do on a Reno6 Z 5G. If you wanted to do those kinds of shots on the Reno7 Series of phones, the features are also available for you.
Performance-wise, the Reno7 Series doesn’t stray too far from what we’ve known for the Reno series. It’s the same reliable upper-midrange experience Reno users have been accustomed to. That means a generally fantastic, near-premium implementation of smartphone features worthy of its price tag.
The OPPO Reno7 — coming in Startrails Blue and Starry Black — will sell for PhP 26,999. The Reno7 Z — Rainbow Spectrum and Cosmic Black — coming in retails for PhP 19,999.
