Globe offers No Lock-Up broadband trial with speeds of up to 50Mbps

Looking to have a new broadband connection for your place? Now might be a good time to try out Globe’s broadband plans with the introduction of their no-contract trial offer for just PhP 499!

You read that right: You can get a fixed broadband connection for just five hundred pesos. Of course, there’s a catch to it. This is part of the new Broadband No Lock-Up Plans of Globe. It’s a three-month trial offer for new subscribers.

For the first three months, you can enjoy any of the following plans for just PhP 499 with free installation, but has a refundable one-time modem cost:

Go Big Plans

Up to 5Mbps (400GB total data allocation)
Up to 10Mbps (500GB total data allocation)
Up to 50MBps (600GB total data allocation)

Go Fast Plans

Up to 10Mbps (100GB total data allocation)
Up to 20Mbps (150GB total data allocation)

All plans come with free access for six months to Netflix and Disney Channel apps, and two months of HOOQ. If you’re not satisfied with the service within the trial period, you can simply disconnect without any additional fees.

What’s the fine print?

While the offers seem pretty good, there are some things to keep in mind before applying:

The one-time modem cost is PhP 2,500 for DSL or PhP 4,500 for VDSL/GPON connections
The 100 percent money-back guarantee for the modem applies within 15 days after installation only
Only the first three months of your subscription are eligible for the promotional monthly fee
If you opt to continue with your subscription, regular monthly fees apply starting the fourth month
Promo is valid until December 31, 2017.

The offer is good for new subscribers who wish to jump to Globe, or for those who don’t have a choice because their previous provider let them down completely. At least, you get to try out if the service works well in your area. Don’t say we didn’t warn you about the conditions, though.
