OnePlus will launch an Avengers-themed OnePlus 6

Avengers, assemble!

Did you grab one of the Star Wars-themed OnePlus 5T Limited Editions last December? If you missed the first Disney-OnePlus partnership, you might be able to grab their second one coming this April.

In celebration of Marvel Studio’s 10th anniversary, OnePlus is launching an Avengers-themed OnePlus 6. The tie-in phone threads its theme from the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie.

The film is expected to break a lot of records when it premieres worldwide on April 27 (or 25, in some countries). More than just another superhero flick, it represents the culmination of Marvel Studio’s ten years’ worth of world building.

Previously, OnePlus prematurely launched a teaser trailer that announces the partnership earlier this month. OnePlus has since taken down the video from their channels.

Following OnePlus’s confirmation memo nabbed by Android Central, the partnership will strengthen the tech brand’s relationship with Disney’s branch in India. Sadly, this means that the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 will likely ship exclusively in India.

If it’s truly an exclusive, it follows in the footsteps of the Star Wars tie-in last year. Launched to coincide with The Last Jedi, the previous partnership was also an exclusive for India. The move comes as no surprise since India is still OnePlus’ largest market.

Currently, OnePlus hasn’t released any info on the OnePlus 6, besides any leaked renders and rumors. We don’t even have photos of the Avengers tie-in yet. As for rumored specs, the phone will likely carry a Snapdragon 845 chip and up to 8GB of RAM.

Since OnePlus has confirmed the tie-in, we can now expect the OnePlus 6’s launch around Infinity War’s premiere next week.

For now, it’s time to once again engage in the age-old debate — Iron Man-themed OnePlus 6 or Captain America-themed OnePlus 6?

If Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball FighterZ wasn’t hyped up enough for you, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot might be what your missing.

This isn’t just about epic fights that Dragon Ball FighterZ blew up and is now know for. If you haven’t known, this time, you get to try exploring what used to just be a backdrop. The game allows you to play through most of Goku’s life. It’s an action role-playing game that lets you immerse yourself in Goku’s story as you progress further into the plot.

If you don’t find the appeal in playing out Goku’s life, you might want to reconsider. The game looks pretty cool and the views can be stunning when you’re flying in third-person perspective. When fights break out, it’s a whole different story.

The perspective shifts to an over-the-shoulder fighting game. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot looks to be an interesting addition, drifting away from just letting us play hyped up fighting scenes. The game also lets you roam, mine, fish, and complete side quests.

The game is going to be based off the anime. If you’re a huge fan of the anime, this is your shot to play it out in whole new immersive perspective.

When the heck is this game getting released? Luckily, it isn’t too far from being released. Bandai Namco just announced that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is coming out on the 17th of January 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Google Maps incognito mode coming soon

It’s in testing phase now

Published

During Google I/O 2019, the company announced that it is bringing its incognito mode to its Youtube, Google Search and Google Maps apps. Youtube already got its incognito mode, leaving the two without it. However, that would soon change as Google is reportedly the feature on Maps, as spotted by XDA Developer’s Mishaal Rahman.

Incognito mode in Google Maps will be a boon for users who don’t want their location to appear on their timeline. It can also hide searches for places and locations where users can have their “private” time.

Baking it directly into the app is useful. It’s so much easier than having to access it via the Chrome browser’s incognito mode and search for the mobile version of Google Map’s website.

Google putting incognito mode into its native apps is in line with its mission to put more privacy controls in the hands of its users. As more and more tech companies are being scrutinized for supposedly interfering with their users’ private lives, Google’s move is surely a step in the right direction.
