The Porsche Design Acer Book RS looks super luxurious
What. A. Stunner.
What happens when a luxury car maker teams up with a world-class laptop maker? Magic. Although, that might be underselling the level of thought that went into the Porsche Design Acer Book RS.
Let’s start with what we immediately see. The Porsche Design Acer Book RSis built with a compact all-metal chassis. Topping it off is a carbon fiber cover. It’s a distinct touch derived from decades of motorsports designs. It puts a premium on the material’s lightweight strength and extreme performance.
The entire unit weighs only 1.25 kg (2.76 lbs) and is 15.99 mm (0.63 in) thin. The two covers are connected by a unibody hinge that slightly elevates the keyboard upon opening the notebook. That improves cooling and creates a more ergonomic typing experience.
Backlit keys provide convenient typing even at night and the glass precision touchpad provides multi-gesture support.
Under the hood
Great machines don’t only look good, they should also come with top-caliber performance. Under the hood of the Porsche Design Acer Book RS are the following:
- Latest 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors with Intel Iris X graphics
- Optional discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPUs
- 16GB of RAM
Naturally, it doesn’t end there. It has a 14-inch FHD IPS touchscreen covered with a layer of Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass. This magnificent looking laptop covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut and is accentuated by ultra-narrow bezels — 90% screen-to-body ratio to be exact.
It has dual copper heat pipes to stay cool during the entire 17 hours that it’s supposed to last. It can give you up to four hours of usage time even after juicing up for only 30 minutes.
Rounding up the capabilities are a dual-band WiFI 6, USB-C, Thunderbolt 3, and USB3.2 Gen 2 ports. You also get smart features like fingerprint logins via Windows Hello, Modern Standby and Wake on Voice.
Custom designed accessories
The laptop isn’t the only thing on the Acer Notebook RS that’s infused with Porsche Design. Coming along for the ride is the Porsche Design Acer Travelpack RS consisting of the following: mousepad, mouse, carrying pouch and notebook sleeve).
The travel pouch is made from ECCO PALERMO XA Leather — a durable material that is pleasant to the touch and glistens with a subtle shine.
Magnetic clasps connect the pouch to a notebook sleeve. It has been fashioned from 1680D fabric which is water repellant and perfect for protecting the notebook from the scratches and wear-and-tear.The notebook sleeve’s detachable lid has been designed to double as a mousepad.
The Bluetooth and wireless Porsche Design Acer Mouse RS completes the travel pack. Carbon fiber was used to reinforce the left-mouse button with character, and is also utilized for the mouse’s bottom cover.
The strong material ensures the mouse has a long lifespan and also houses a DPI switch that enables users to quickly switch between three preset sensitivity levels.

Computex 2026
Here’s all the RTX Spark notebooks announced at COMPUTEX 2026
We got notebooks from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI.
There’s been much ado about the NVIDIA RTX Spark. By now, you’ve probably heard a lot about the upcoming reinvention of PCs. But, as a regular consumer, it’s hard to visualize just how this revolution looks like. Thankfully, in NVIDIA’s demo suites, a few manufacturers got to showcase their take on an RTX Spark notebook. And all of them are coming out in the fall.
ASUS ProArt P14 and P16
Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition
HP OmniBook X 14 and Ultra 16
Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n
Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra
MSI Prestige N16 Flip AI+
Unfortunately, none of these brands could share comprehensive details about their laptops beyond a promise for raw power. All of these models aren’t the final version yet.
However, just from what we can tell, these notebooks do feel different from the standard fare of laptops today. For one, they are deceptively heavier. Though all of the OEMs promise a much thinner profile, they’re either packing a lot of tech inside or are using denser materials for their chassis. But again, these are engineering units, so who knows how heavy these things will actually be?
Secondly, based on NVIDIA’s demos, they can do a lot of heavy lifting. NVIDIA says that these superchips are meant for developers and creators, but gamers will also find joy in their performance. DLSS 4.5, in particular, feels like a true revolution in terms of graphics.
Thankfully, fall isn’t too far away. If you can wait, the next evolution of PCs is just around the corner.
