Samsung reveals all the devices launching in August
Just as we expected
Last week, Samsung confirmed the number of devices launching on August 5’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Though the company tried to shroud it in mystery, the upcoming roster isn’t really a mystery, thanks to previous rumors and leaks. Now, they have done away with the mystery altogether. In a new trailer, Samsung reveals all the devices launching in August.
In the trailer, Samsung included a silhouette of the unannounced devices. As already confirmed, there are five devices. Based on the image, it’s easy to assume what they are.
The rightmost device is, of course, the Galaxy Note 20 series. Of the four devices, Samsung has already all but confirmed the series. Every promotional material for next week’s event has visuals of the renowned S Pen. Likewise, we already have almost every single detail about the upcoming series. Without a doubt, the Galaxy Note 20 series is the main event of the launch.
The next device (the one in the middle) is also easy to decipher. Unless it’s portraying two smartphones cleverly laid out side by side, this is the Galaxy Fold 2, a sequel to last year’s first foray in the foldable segment.
Based on their profile, the remaining three devices are the Galaxy Watch 3, the Galaxy Buds Live, and the Galaxy Tab S7 series. All three devices have also made strange appearances sometime recently in the rumor mill.
Other than the silhouette, the trailer doesn’t reveal much more about the upcoming event. For a single launch event, five devices is quite the lineup, especially since previous reports hinted at a three-month launch window between August and October. That said, August’s Galaxy Unpacked event is only around a week away. We won’t have to wait long before we see all five devices finally out in the open.

iPhone 18 series breaks records in Vietnam as pre-orders triple
Despite hefty price tag, market saw immense demand for latest Apple devices
The iPhone 18 series saw immense demand upon its availability in Vietnam, with reports indicating that pre-orders at some local retailers for the latest Apple devices more than tripled compared to the previous generation during the same window.
Pre-orders in the market officially opened last month and saw hundreds of thousands of deposits in just days. Devices officially began hitting shelves and delivering to consumers last September 18.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max has been the sought-after model, as XO Tours noted, accounting for about 80% to 90% of the total number of pre-orders. Meanwhile, Burgundy has been the hit color option.
Retailers did have a few safeguards in place, like limiting each customer to a maximum of two Pro or Pro Max units combined.
And in spite of the hefty price tags, the availability of 0% interest installment plans, as well as Buy Now, Pay Later options kept the flagship models as an accessible luxury for consumers, with trade-ins also providing additional discounts.
As with many developing markets, Vietnam also relies heavily on smartphones as everyday devices over laptops, tablets, or PCs.
