Smart launches new Plans+ with Unli Apps for everyday digital use
Plans+ adds Unli Apps bundles
Smart Communications is rolling out its All-New Postpaid Plans+ with Unli Apps. These are built around how people actually use their phones daily. The headline feature is Unlimited App Access, which gives subscribers unmetered use of selected apps grouped into lifestyle bundles.
Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, Smart is packaging access into three distinct bundles.
The Connect bundle covers social platforms like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
The Create bundle leans into productivity and content. With unlimited access to YouTube and tools like Gemini (Google AI) alongside Google’s core apps.
Meanwhile, the Play bundle is aimed at mobile gamers. It covers titles such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Honor of Kings.
Plans+ comes in four tiers:
- Plan+ 799 includes 15GB data, a 100GB 5G allocation for six months, and the Connect bundle.
- Plan+ 999 bumps it to 20GB with Unli 5G for a year and one bundle of choice.
- Plan+ 1499 and 1999 raise the data to 40GB and 60GB respectively, while keeping Unli 5G and bundle access for 12 months.
All tiers include unlimited calls and texts across networks, Smart-to-Smart video calls via ViLTE, and landline calls. Smart Communications says recent recognition from Ookla for mobile video experience and latency backs these plans. It translates to smoother streaming, faster gaming response, and more stable calls.
The new Smart Postpaid Plans+ are now open to subscribers, with more app bundles expected in the future.

Inchcape Philippines and Changan are parting ways
The two companies won’t renew their distribution deal, with the transition running through Q4 2026.
Inchcape Philippines and Changan have mutually agreed not to renew their distribution partnership in the country. The companies announced the decision, citing Changan’s own long-term plans for the Philippine market as the reason.
The partnership enters a transition period that runs through Q4 2026. During this time, existing customer commitments remain in place, including aftersales support, warranty coverage, parts, and service.
Alex Hammett, Inchcape’s Managing Director for South Asia & Pacific, said Inchcape Philippines and Changan have worked together since 2023 to build the Changan brand locally, supported by Inchcape’s distribution network and dealer relationships.
He thanked the Inchcape Philippines team and dealer partners for their role in that effort over the past three years.
Inchcape says the Philippines remains a key market for the company. It continues to distribute Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, trucks, and buses, along with Jaguar Land Rover, and operates the retail business for Harley-Davidson locally. The company’s stated focus going forward is growing its existing portfolio and introducing new products to Filipino customers.
The Philippines also houses Inchcape’s Digital Delivery Centre and Global Business Services teams, which together employ more than 700 people supporting the company’s global operations.
Further details on arrangements after the transition period, including Changan’s next distribution partner, have not yet been announced.

Michelin strengthens distribution ecosystem in the Philippines
Strategic expansion includes customer-based approach
Michelin is strengthening its distribution ecosystem in the Philippines as part of a strategic expansion in the market.
The move is designed to bring greater expertise, stronger support, and improved customer access across every mobility segment.
It also represents more than an expansion of Michelin’s route-to-market capabilities, as it reflects the company’s long-term confidence in the Southeast Asian market and its vision of building a more responsive, customer-focused, and future-ready mobility ecosystem.
Michelin take into consideration various factors in the mobility landscape, including:
- growing vehicle ownership
- expanding logistics networks
- increased infrastructure activity
- rising industrial investment
Such factors create new opportunities across passenger, mobility, commercial transportation, construction, mining, agriculture, and beyond-road operations.
Better support across every journey
Michelin is supporting the growth by strengthening its distribution network through a more specialized ecosystem.
This ecosystem aligns expertise with the distinct requirements of different customer segments, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach — a model that reflects how customers buy, operate, maintain, and manage vehicles and equipment.
For passenger vehicle customers, stronger integration and dealership networks can improve access to vehicle-specific tire fitments and enhance the ownership experience.
Meanwhile, for commercial operators, greater technical expertise and fleet-oriented support can help improve uptime, operational efficiency, and service responsiveness.
Furthermore, for industrial and beyond-road customers, access to specialized application knowledge supports reliability, productivity, and long-term equipment performance in demanding environments.
This customer-centric approach reflects Michelin’s broader purpose to give people a better way forward.
