HONOR sets new world record with X9c 5G
For The Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Drop Test Simultaneously
HONOR Philippines made history ahead of the HONOR X9c 5G‘s launch in the country. The smartphone brand set a new Guinness World Record for “The Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Drop Test Simultaneously”.
The attempt was done on Monday, January 6, with 264 participants simultaneously dropping the HONOR X9c 5G.
Of course, the upcoming device is being marketed for its all-angle triple defense and SGS 5-Star rating for Drop Resistance. It can also withstand drops of up to two meters in height.
Additionally, the phone has an IP65M water resistance rating. This means it can be submerged up to 25 centimeters deep for a maximum of five minutes.
Content creators also surprised Filipino audiences with outputs that subjected the X9c 5G in boiling tests. These prove the toughness of the phone, which can take on extreme temperatures from -40°C cold to 70°C hot.
The HONOR X9c 5G will officially be released in the Philippines on January 10 via Facebook live. Pricing and store availability will be disclosed on launch date as well.
It will be the third HONOR phone in recent memory to sport durability and water resistance-related features, after the HONOR X9b and the budget HONOR X7c which was subjected to water resistance tests.

The hunt begins: The Witcher in Concert hits Manila with surprises in tow
The Continent comes alive
If you’ve ever heard a haunting chant echo through a battlefield or felt the weight of a choice that isn’t as simple as good or evil, then you already know—the Path has a way of calling you back.
And if you haven’t stepped into that world just yet, consider this your invitation.
With less than two weeks to go, The Witcher in Concert is set to take over Manila for a one-night-only performance. It’s happening on March 28, 2026 at The Theatre at Solaire—bringing with it not just the music of a beloved RPG, but a full-on return to the Continent.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the concert transforms one of gaming’s most iconic soundtracks into a live experience. Expect performances from selected musicians of the Filharmonika Orchestra alongside Percival Schuttenbach—the Polish folk-metal band whose distinct sound helped define the game’s identity. Paired with in-game visuals, it’s a show designed to feel both nostalgic and entirely new.
As the night draws closer, here are three things fans can look forward to:
Relics from the Continent: official merchandise
For those who want to take a piece of the experience home, exclusive event merchandise will be available in limited quantities.
This includes the following:

- Key chain (PhP1,400)
- Enamel pin set (PhP1,400)
- Event magnet (PhP800)
- Geralt gaming mouse pad (PhP2,000)
It’s the kind of loot drop fans won’t want to miss.
The path to Solaire: getting there made easier
Getting to the venue is part of the journey—and this time, it’s a little easier. Attendees can use the Grab code FCPH2026 to get 20% off rides (up to PhP75). With the condition of a minimum fare of PhP250. The promo is valid for two rides per user and applies to trips to and from Solaire Entertainment City.
A rare encounter: meet Percival Schuttenbach
For a handful of lucky fans, the experience goes beyond the stage. Ten winners will get the chance to meet Percival Schuttenbach and receive an autographed CD.
To join, ticket holders need to share any official The Witcher in Concert post on their Instagram Story. They need to write what they’re most excited to hear live and tag @filmconcerts.ph. They need to submit their entry before March 24, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Winners will be announced on March 25.
Answer the call
As the Continent arrives in Manila, fans are encouraged to lean all the way in—whether that means coming in cosplay as a monster hunter, mage, bard, or something far more dangerous.
Tickets are available via TicketWorld and participating outlets nationwide.
The Path is open. The question is—will you answer the call?

POCO is also continuing its collaboration with Marvel through the POCO X8 Pro – Iron Man Edition, which features a black-and-gold design inspired by Tony Stark’s armor along with a customized Iron Man-themed interface.

DJI’s Inspire 3 Basic Package make 8K aerial filmmaking more accessible
A streamlined kit for independent filmmakers!
DJI has officially introduced the Inspire 3 Basic Package, a streamlined kit designed to lower the barrier of entry for professional aerial cinematography.
Since its debut in 2023, the Inspire 3 has established itself as the primary choice for studio film and television productions.
This new package provides a cost-effective path for independent filmmakers to integrate 8K aerial imaging into their workflow or for production houses to scale their existing fleet.
Cinema-grade performance in a portable form factor
The Inspire 3 remains a revolutionary all-in-one drone, built to handle the rigorous demands of high-end sets.
At the core of the package is the Zenmuse X9-8K Air Gimbal Camera, which features dual native ISO and more than 14 stops of dynamic range.
These specifications translate to high-fidelity footage that retains authentic colors and accurate skin tones, even when filming in challenging urban environments or varying lighting conditions.
By utilizing the DJI Cinema Color System (DCCS) and the O3 Pro transmission system, the drone acts as a reliable partner in movement, ensuring that technical performance supports the creative vision without the need for overly complex setups.
Essential tools for modern production
The Basic Package is curated to include the core hardware necessary for professional use while allowing for modular expansion. The kit features:
- The Inspire 3 Aircraft and Zenmuse X9-8K Air Gimbal Camera
- Four TB51 Intelligent Batteries to support extended shooting schedules
- Specialized storage solutions, including the Inspire 3 Trolley Case and Gimbal Camera Case
Filmmakers who require the full ecosystem can still purchase key peripherals separately, such as the RC Plus remote controller, allowing the gear to grow alongside their specific project needs.
Price, availability
The DJI Inspire 3 Basic Package is available starting today through authorized retailers and the official DJI store. The package retails for PhP 615,049.
This release reinforces the philosophy that while technology provides the tools, the focus remains on the life and stories captured through the lens.
